Yeah, just saw this one the Bottomline.
I also noticed earlier today (or yesterday) that Sebastian Telfair wasnts to be the Knicks point guard. Now, I know how awful this Bucks situation is, but why do soooooooo many people want to be a Knick?

We happen to have a captain of industry in Bigzy here, who once again calls the shots with inside knowledge.....
My heart sank when Bigzy said this afternoon he saw Walsh going to NY. I had a feeling his info was on target based on his past track record and connections..... so thanks for the info.
Herb: It's your move now.

Its still a marquee franchise, and home to alot of these guys. Telfair grew up in the New York area. As did guys like Marbury.
I didn't really expect Walsh to come to Milwaukee. But I was hopeful. Obviously there was never anything there. I didn't think he'd bolt to the Knicks right away though.

To be fair, when Sebastian Telfair wants to be your starting point guard that's not really a good thing.

Well, it's not like I was saying it in hopes of Sebastian Telfair becoming a Buck, just saying that so many people want to go to New York when it's such a bad situation.

Did Walsh do the drafting for Indiana? Their recent drafts seem okay, but not great.
Recent draft history
2007 No selection; 1st Rd pick traded to Atlanta via sign and trade (Al Harrington)[12]
2006 Shawne Williams (Round 1, pick 17); Alexander Johnson (Round 2, pick 45)
2005 Danny Granger (Round 1, pick 17); Erazem Lorbek (Round 2, pick 46)
2004 David Harrison (Round 1, pick 29); Rashad Wright (Round 2, pick 60)
2003 James Jones (Round 2, pick 49)
2002 Fred Jones (Round 1, pick 14)
2001 Jamison Brewer (Round 2, pick 41)

Damn. Knicks fans are basically rejoicing on their forum. I'm think Knicks fans have much more reason to be optimistic because as bad the Knicks are it was really Isiah who messed up the Knicks and not so much Dolan. Dolan has other things to do then just worry about the Knicks which is why he gave Thomas control. Knicks fans should be happy because there will never be another gm who screwed up a team as bad as Isiah did the Knicks.
If Walsh is hired and fires Thomas then I'm officially a Knicks fan.

did we ever have a chance?
No, but in Herb's press conference last week he told us sports were all about "Hope", so we "hoped"
I think the only way Kohl gets out of this is to hire a second tier guy and let Ron Walter go......otherwise we may unfortunately have a Donald Sterling situation where the owner has a complete disconnect from reality and his fanbase.

One person I spoke with this evening was adamant it was for all intents and purposes a done deal.
But another person I spoke with cautioned that it might not be.
One thing of note is that this story was reported on incorrectly already once today and said that Walsh was staying with the Pacers and Bird would be moved out.
I'm guessing though the odds of a second mistake on this story being made in the same day are not very good though.
I'm going to assume that Walsh will be taking over the Knicks.
