to be honest, I thought they were pretty fair throught the game, but I lost respect for them for their reaction to that play. there more they showed the replay and how they were reacting to it had me busting a gut. I think the color guy gave birth to a whale. it got so bad I didn't even care if it was a foul or not it was just hi-larious.milesfides wrote:-= original quote snipped =-
I don't think they're aware of basic physics and causation. Maybe Fish fell backwards because Ellis ran right into him, which is exactly what it looked like. Fish grabbed Ellis because he didn't want to land on his head. Kind of ridiculous how the announcers saw it completely backwards. Homeristic? Undeniable, since they were flipping out like ninjas. I think one of them was hyperventilating.

The old school u-neck jerseys are classic. They look so much better than the effete v-necks.
And I've tried getting my hands on this jersey, to no avail. Sold out.
It's such a sharp design, I'll never know why they changed it. I don't mind the newer outfit, but you're right -- it looks almost like a women's uniform in comparison.
Also, for all those bashing Kobe, it should be noted that he went 7 of 14 down the stretch. Not bad considering he was on the back end of playing nearly two full games in two nights. Some of the shots he took me want to pluck my eyebrows out, but you can't question the effort.

Lamar has been huge.
I found myself saying, "I'd hug you right now, Odom" during I think a layup in the 4th quarter, or a mid-ranger. I've been up and down with Odom (as I think most of the Laker fan base has), like everyone he has his faults, but I can say he is playing great basketball for the past three months.
As for Kobe, I think his effort has been good, with a combined 25 rebounds the past two games, and in general always helping on the glass when our main bigs are MIA. He has been off. Low lift off his jumper, his form has been a bit off as well... its okay, he'll bounce back. I think there were many sequences where nobody wanted to take a shot, and it turned into a contested jumper by Kobe. Some of those freethrow jumpers were okay shots by Kobe, even good shots, and they would normally be money. That said, Lamar deserves his due. Its been his back that we've jumped on the past two games.

I cringe every time Luke is on the floor now, it ain't suppose to be like that with nobody but Luke has oatmeal for brains.Kobay wrote:Luke is pathetic just off this guy. Lamar is officially off my sh** list.
Does anybody know if weed effect your DNA,cause Luke snatched something from Bill's love juice thats causing brain shortages at the wrong time.

This is Lamar's 22nd double double in his last 25 games.
He becomes the first Laker since Vlade Divac to have back to back 20 rebound games in the regular season (yup, Shaq never did this though he did in the playoffs).
This is the 7th straight game Lamar has recorded a double double.
During the last 27 games (all February and March games), Lamar has only shot under 50% from the field 4 times. His FG% over those 27 games is 59.7%.
Those numbers are just unreal. The thing I like most, he's only taken 31 3-pointers in the last 26 games. Which is probably as good a reason as any why he's been shooting so well lately.
