Perhaps part of the reason why he has been so effective is that he can just go out and play, and if we start running plays for him, we will create pressure that he may or may not be able to handle. Heck, Iggy is just now being able to handle the pressure....

Very good point. I they didn't force it to Igg in his rookie year. He kinda got away doing what thad is doing now. Just playing defense and getting out on the break. The thing I want to see is the team rewarding thad by giving him the ball when he actually is open or when he initiates the fastbreak to get him the ball.

I'm not talking about developing Thad. Obviously, he's a young kid and we have years to do that. I'm talking about running a play or two for him in the half court might help our team.

I absolutely agree with you. I was just responding more in excitement to how well Thad has played in a limited role.

I'm surprised that Thad still doesn't get more plays called for him down low. When the game slows down in the playoffs and the opposing defense keys in on our strengths, it would be nice to have a player you can run a play for in the post for an easy bucket and/or to create for others if/when the double comes.

I think we agree all upon that being a Philly fan is exciting at the moment. I think I have never been so pumped up since I became a Sixers fan in 2001.

The worst thing they can do is change the approach right now with Thad. Let him rebound, hustle, take the open jumpers, and try to get to the rim. He will be much better off with another off season dedicate more to his ball skills and perimeter game before trying to run any plays through him. He looks comfortable, he's still very efficient and producing...don't mess with his role until next season.
