Which NBA players could play both Point Guard and Center?

two players mentioned that have no where near the handles or speed to play pg are brad miller and dirk. shouldn't have even been mentioned.

Agreed about Brad Miller, but can you name a 7 footer in the league right now with better handles, play-making ability (from the perimeter, not from the post) and general perimiter game than Dirk? I can't think of one.

Odom is probably the only player in the league that has actually done it. AK47 might have done it too. I guess one could say Diaw did it but he sucked at PG in ATL and he only played C in PHX because of a massively unbalanced roster and gimmicky offense. Odom is the only one that could legitimately play all five positions in a traditional offense.

Odom played a ton of PG and SG for us when Smush was on the team. Phil also lets him play center whenever we play the Clippers (Kaman), Wolves w/KG (Griffin, Kandi), Spurs (Elson, Oberto), Raps (Rasho), bucks (Bogut/Yi) or Jazz (Okur). I'm pretty sure he used to play C against Memphis and Gasol/Darko too. He must have because Gasol used to burn us and I doubt he would have burned Kwame like that.

We experimented with him at PG defensively a few times and he played it well but having him that far away from the basket hurt us on the boards. Nash seems to have lots of problems with him though.

Odom is one of the reasons our defense is the way it is.... Phil has enough confidence to switch on any player because he's got so much range.

doesn't matter that dirk has better handles than most other 7 footers, they're still not up to par with lebron, diaw, odom, etc.

he already does for the nuggets offensively...because he's the best lob passer and best post entry passer on the team. and he enjoys nothing more than to throw a wild pass on an odd man break.
defensively he already does too....just because karl chooses to switch every single pick and roll the team encounters, thus camby spends quite a bit of each game attempting to guard the opposing point guard.

Agreed that LeBron and Odom are much better candidates to play the 5 and the 1, but even if Dirk would be a little more awkward at the 1 than Diaw (although with him being so deadly from the perimiter, he more likely to draw doubles out there, freeing up his teammates), he's much better at the 5 than Diaw is. Everyone was mentioning KG, so I thought Dirk deserved some love.
Anyways, I'll stop talking now, since nobody seem to agree with me

lebron james easily. hes in the top ten in the league in assists. he can also grab you 8 rebounds plus hes 6'9 250-260 with the ideal body of a basketball player. i would imagine hes strong enough to guard centers.

Bird couldn't because he wouldn't have been able to handle the ball against quick guards (like Magic could), not he had a chance defending PGs.
KG has a good chance, not sure he has the handles being so tall.

LeBron has the body and the skills, I just don't see him defending a center at this point.

If you include defending then the answer is no one since there is no player who could defend both centers & point guards... they could hold their own for couple of possesions with help of their teammates but to be able to defend both positions straight up is nearly impossible.

bron is big enough to play center and fast enough for the point...odom got the height and length..and can move and dribble for someone his size.
