*Sign Pietrus and backup C (Kwame? Elson?) w/ MLE
*Re-sign Lue, Wright, Allen, Barea

Kidd / Lue / Barea
Redd / Terry / Wright
Pietrus / Stackhouse
Nowitzki / Bass / Allen
Dampier / MLE

Then look to trade Terry and Stack for the best available offer.

Sounds good to me. I'm sorry but if we were to miss the playoffs and end up in the lottery I couldn't care less about adding someone like Chase Budinger. We would definetly need to trade that pick for someone of value like Redd.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but won't we need to use part of the MLE to sign Lue, Wright, Allen and Barea?

That doesn't leave much left for Pietrus and Elson or Brown.

I wouldn't mind the Redd deal though.

I was also thinking about the 14th pick and Stack for Mike Miller...another great shooter with size that can spot up or drive to the basket. I love his aggressive style of play.

We don't have rights on Lue or Allen, but we can sign them for up to 120% of the minimum, which would be about $1.5 million for Lue and $1.3 for Allen. Anything over that would take the MLE though.

We have early bird rights on Barea and can re-sign him for up to the MLE, and I'm pretty sure we have full bird rights on Wright.

That would be awesome. Let's just hope they're looking to move Miller.

Trade Terry even if you have to include Stack as a freebie. If that doesn't work add in a youngun like Wright. That way you have the solution to your problem as well.

We can only sign Wright up to 30% of the qualifying offer that was rescinded by the Nets.

Without that pick, it will be virtually impossible to upgrade this team. We have no trade pieces other than Bass and possibly George (S&T).

Exactly. And George has very little trade value and Bass wont bring in the type of improvements we deserately need (not to mention that would just open up another hole at the backup PF position).
