ESPN's latest rookie rankings has Yi ranked 19th.

Again I'll ask - does anyone think Yi will be on the All-Rookie team?

No, unless he has some monster games in the next few weeks (20-10 style). I think that he should just start throwing elbows if people try to strip him from now on, or at least flailing around would help.

I give you credit. I think in late December or early January you talked about sending Yi to Philly for Thad Young, Jason Smith and another guy......

I couldn't see it at the time.....but now that Thad Young is blowing up......I can see it.

I'd feel much better about Yi if the guy were taking the entire season off to rest and build upper body strength......but it's clear the guy is nervous about the next five-months with the CNT and the Olympics.

Maybe we'll be rewarded with Yi next season, after the Bejiing Olympics. He'll feel a lot less nervous with that out of the way.

So many in this forum where hyping Yi up at the start of the season like the second-coming.

In saying that, I would hold on to Yi for another season, unless some trade comes up that is tempting then I would reconsider.

I think it was just Young and Smith, but I'm not going to look it up. My logic was the Smith and Young were both solid players who satisfied team needs much more than Yi, and also that for all the hype there was a good chance that either Smith or Young would turn out to be as good as Yi, or possibly better.

I'm not giving up on Yi but he looks like the worst player on the floor every time he plays. He really needs to bulk up in the off-season and work on his hands and his post game. All he can do now is hit open jumpers.

I'm not sure why you're looking at other rookies in comparison - they'd all fare poorly on this team. The Bucks don't do player development. They obviously don't work on defense. They might play the rookies but exclude them from all but opportunistic scoring. This isn't a team for player development, it's just a team for those out for themselves.

I'm very very concerned about Yi

Guys who turn out to be really good players don't often look as bad as Yi has for quite a long time.

Give the guy some time he is indeed still a rookie.

David West was brought up and I agree the Hornets would have to be smoking crack to trade him for Yi but West is a 5 year vetran Yi is a rookie.

When West was a rookie he only avg'd 4/4 then 6/4 his 2nd year.

Yi has some serious talent and he has the size and athletic ability to go with it.Give him some time to mature and adjust to the NBA game he will be fine.

you know us bucks fans we only give a guy 10 games to prove himself or else we just give up on the guy...

I am not trying to be negative or anything I just think most of the people are the worse at evaluating talent.

You'd have thought passing was a fine-able offense the way those guys were pounding the ball into the ground all night. Christ. I get that they lose confidence in their teammates (who by and large suck) but it just seems like everyone else on the court hates having to be out there with them.

I don't want to trade Bogut but let's not lose sight of the fact that he was 1/8 in the second half.

We did however see easily the most interesting lineup of the year: Mo/Ramon/CV/Yi/Bogut. That's the sort of experimentation I'd love to see more of.

The guards are our strength and biggest weakness all at the same time.

I would be very hard pressed to move Bogut, but outside of that whatever it takes.

As far as the line up of Mo/Ramon/CV/Yi/Bogut is concerned. I looked it up on Popcornmachine and sadly it was for less than 1 minute.

I said before and I will say again. Yi's rookie season = Ersan's rookie season.

Stats are not same and they don't play or move same but they left same impression on my. Jumpshot is there but confused and chaotic at offense. Scared in paint. Effort and good hands at defense but confused there as well. Selfish when get ball and doesn't look to pass. Overall, doesn't look like belong in NBA.

But Yi is taller and I still have big hope for him. I hope he become next Rasheed Wallace and yes that is big hope in my book.

It's actually the opposite of an example of your post
