I wouldn't be surprised if it's sooner than that. I think we'll be looking to move him this summer to a team needing to get under the cap. That said any ideas out there of what a plausible deal would be? I think Doogie said on Rube Chat that they're going to look to move him for a big. That said no idea what kind of player would fit the bill.

Would Denver be willing to move Nene for cap space?
Perhaps Etan Thomas?
Gadz (although Milwaukee would have to incent us for that one)?
Diaw (not exactly a true "big")?

This is not relevant since Walker hasn't quit. The situation is your boss is basically paying you to not work LOL (when you do want to)!
Walker's never said anything bad about Minny or that the it sucks being a T-Wolf...he's just disappointed he won't be playing ball at all this season.
The best case scenerio for Walker right now IS to take the 9million.

I see what you're saying, and I agree to an extent. But to me, even asking for a trade is quitting on the team. His job at this point is to work hard at practice and to not cause trouble. I don't have any idea what he's doing at practice, but by distracting the team the way he is, he is causing trouble.
Another thing, it was entirely up to him as to whether or not he would play any more this season. He chose not to by refusing to be bought out for anything less than his whole contract.
He had a choice to get a few million from Minni in a buy out and the vet minimum from a contender (I'm pretty sure the min is between 1 and 2 mil) for a total of about half of his total salary this year. But instead he decided to be greedy, wanting to have his cake (All the money from the Wolves) and eat it too (Money from another team and the chance for a title).

Toine asked to be bought out because the team wasn't playing him.
I do believe that in Toine's mind that if he had his best case scenerio, it would have been that Minny would have liked to have Toine be a bigger part in their rebuilding process....but that wasn't the case.
So Toine's next best thing was to get bought out probably for 7 or 8 million and then join a contender (if any would take him).
But Toine and his agent and the Wolves front office took too long and could not come up with an agreeable number.
Toine wasn't going to take 1 or 2 million to not join a contender. (Worst case scenerio)
So Toine is now in the 2nd worst scenerio....not playing and just collecting a paycheck.

Or he is moved as an expiring. I hear you can get an all-star for an expiring.
