Blatche goes to the bench and the Blazers go on a 7-0 run. Wizards now down 10.

The problem today is the guards aren't defending the perimeter and they're allowing penetration.

Jamison, AD, and Caron aren't defending. Stevenson's been terrible.

Blatche, Songaila, and Mason are playing well.

AD and Caron have been good offensively but bad defensively.

Wiz should have buried Portland tonight. They got blitzed by Seattle last night and tonight they have no Roy or Aldridge. This was a must win.

What a trainwreck. No rhythm on offense and the defense is pathetic.

Brendan just stands there and watches Jack hit a wide open 3. Good job BH. Wizards are lifeless. 0-5 road trip here we come.

Believe it or not, Haywood has been WORSE than Blatche. Just standing around and watching people shoot on defense. What an embarrassing half against a team playing the second game of a b2b.

Good half, guys. I loved the energy and especially our 3pt defense.

Let's keep it up in the 2nd half.

Man, way to be a debbie downer. The team is playing like crap in the first half, agreed, but take a chill pill.

Horrible first half by shotjacking starter and very poorly coached 2nd quarter.

The subs were down 3 but over the last 5 minutes the starters let the lead baloon to 16.

They followed the ball on defense and kept giving up open threes. They forced the ball to Jamison and Butler threw up terrible shots and so did DeShawn. AD got totally used and abused by Jack.

EJ was terrible that quarter. Should have stuck with Mason, Songaila, and Blatche.

Haywood and Blatche would dominate inside but coach hasn't thought of that.

Terrible first half and this game's already a loss.

And you'd complain if he challenged the shot and Jack blew by him for a layup or if Brendan challenged and Jack passed to a big for a dunk.

AD and Stevenson should be denying Jack the middle and they should be there to close out on his shot at least once.

The guards, NOT BLATCHE OR HAYWOOD are the culprits tonight.

Everyone is to blame. I don't know if you are implying that Blatche or Haywood have played well because they obviously have not. DS isn't hitting nor playing much D. AJ has been invisible. CB has been good offensively but questionable on defense. This is a team loss.

As Wizards fans, should we hope that every team we face in the upcoming weeks is fully healthy and packed full of talent?

Ditto...they all suck. Right now, I'd rather watch the bench more than the starters. It's depressing how many times I've said that this year.

I agree that the perimeter defense is what's killing the Wiz tonight. However, its not just our guards. A.J. and Butler have been playing piss poor defense as well, especially when they "show" after a high pick and roll. How many times did Jack just split the double team?

Blatche had a few shining moments, but he also had a few dreadful moments as well. He is doing particularly bad on the boards.
