Suns Playoff tickets?

Post#1 » by nevetsov » Wed Mar 26, 2008 2:59 pm

Hi guys, just had a quick question regarding playoff tickets.

I'm likely heading over to the US this year for the playoffs, I truly think that this is our year and we're going all the way. This is not just my first time to the USA, but the first time travelling overseas! Suffice to say, it's going to be quite an experience (especially if I can talk a few more of you international'ers into joining me!)..

The catch is, playoff matchups/ timetables aren't decided until the end of the regular season mid April.. This isn't a problem because i'm quite sure our boys will still be around then. My concern is, as airfares will have to be taken care of well before that, if I get all the way there, am I going to be able to get playoff tickets? What's the deal generally, in regard to times and methods of sale? If it's a matter of lining up that's fine, but I don't want to get there and miss getting a ticket. Is it a case of 'if you apply yourself you're pretty safe', or it is just pot luck at the end of the day?

Also, how much do suns playoff tickets go for, round by round? (I assume they increment accordingly). What about scalped tickets (not that I encourage that) but if I get stuck, how much of a markup is it going to be?

Any info would be helpful. Not really a quick question now that I looks at it :p Thanks in advance!

Yeah, playoffs. Well, suns playoff games anyway. :)

Probably look to arrive in May and stay til mid June. Fly into LAX so if we end up playing the Warriors in the Semis or the Lakers in the WCF might be able to catch some of those games in California before invading the Valley  Main priority is catching at minimum a game or to in Phoenix.

I remember like 4 years ago I went to the first round of playoffs and I paid like $150 for upperdeck seats. So, I'm not exactly sure what the price is now-a-days bro.

Sorry, wish I can help you out more but I dont go to many Suns games. Even though I live here in Arizona I usually go to 5 games a season and hardly any playoff games, but I'm goin to try my best and get tickets for the playoffs.

I have season tickets and last year I would sell my upper level tickets in the first round for about $100 and the second round about $115, but I'll probably sell them for more this year. If you're willing to pay you can always find tickets at suns.com

I went to game 5 against the Spurs last year, got my tickets from a scalper and it was $200 a ticket in the upper deck.

Doubtful, that you will be able to get tickets directly from the team seeing as there is a limited number of tickets that are not season ticket holders and if you are on a waiting list for season tickets you get first crack at single game tickets.

TicketExchange has alway been pretty reasonable. As is razorgator. But, I have only gotten lower level seats from them and for the playoffs they are usually cracking a $1000 per ticket. To make things worse, ever since we got Shaq, the prices have more then doubled on both sites. It is anyones guess as to how things will look come playoffs. If you wanted good seats, I would imagine you would be paying close to $1500 for a ticket that normally would run $150. And if we play the Lakers, you can turn that 1 into a 3.

Good Luck!!

Wow let's hope we don't play the Lakers then ;) Thanks for the info guys, really helps out. I've heard the real fans hang out in the upper deck so that's fine with me :)

And Whambam if you have tickets you're wanting to sell let me know, if i'm in the area at that time i'll definitely take them off your hands. Incidentally how many do you have? If I head over I think Neverfear and maybe KPCB might be coming as well - the Aussies are taking over the USA! haha.. we're trying to talk Moe into ditching school and meeting us as well :)

Well, i got lucky with a scalper and was cool enough to only make me pay $85 for each upper deck seat vs. SA game 1

I remember in 04/05 I was able to get lower levels for $75 each vs Memphis game 1

I think PMs are only enabled for contacting mods these days, they have disabled PM interaction for us regular folk. But for sure, i'll get TASTIC to PM you my email or something.

Thanks again!

i would come over, but im looking at going over December 2009 with the family, with regular season it will be cheaper on tickets and accommodation as well as more "certain" for scheduling

not to mention, i cant leave a 1 month old baby to go away for 3 weeks.

however, if the suns make the finals..... i might just be there ;-) watch this space.....

hope you get to go and get everything you want from it man

you coming for this AFL game in 2 weeks?

Thanks TASTIC, i'll be sure to do that tonight.

SDU, I don't think i'll be able to afford it, as all of my time/ energy/ money is now focused on making this trip work. Don't worry though, i'll be sure to make my way down later on in the year :) Teach you guys a thing or two about TUI ;)
