No I am FURIOUS.
Torre strikes again.
Pinch running for Giambi was (Please Use More Appropriate Word), he pulled andy too early. Mismanaged the bullpen.
WTF is up with Mo.
Also losing Jorge was tough because he has nice chemistry with our pitchers. We needed this win.
Torre fails in the big game again.

Bernie would've put up a better fight than Kevin Thompson.
Also where the hell is Farnsworth? Why are we pitching Vizcaino a day after he got rocked.
GAHHH. Embarassing loss on national TV. The next 2 ae going to be tough with the garbage we bringing to the mound, plus our mediocre bullpen now.
Point is, if Mo can't get his **** together, our Bullpen is useless. Hes the glue, the backbone, and is supposed to pick up the slack when others cant step up.

- pinch hitting for Giambi
- Pettitte should've been in for all of the seventh
- had Britton, Farnsworth, Bruney, and Henn available, but threw in Myers and Vizcaino
- Put Mo in the eighth (What was up with his location though?)
And like I asked in the other thread, Phelps would've pinch hitted for Nieves, who would've caught in the bottom of the inning if we were to score?

Mariano isn't himself right now....so asking him to go 1 and 2/3 innings against a team that has had his number in the past is asking for a lot. Second, do we not have like at least two other pitchers we're comfortable in to get us two outs? Henn? Bruney? The whole Mike Myers thing was just a fiasco in itself.

Uhmm asking Mo to come in in the 8th with a 3 run lead was so stupid, especially with Farnsworth and Henn in the pen. It's as if Torre doesn't want to have to think about the arms he has in the pen and just relies on mo.
HE DIDNT EVEN HAVE ANYONE BUT MO WARMING UP IN THE 8TH.
What is that crap? Mo is the closer. He shouldn't be up warming up in the 8th when you have a 4 run lead. Use your long men and your set up men.
Gah im so MAD

Just stop. Boston does not have his number. They've just seen him the most.
No team has Mo's number. Individual players have his number, but not a team.

I'm not saying Boston owns Rivera because they don't, but Rivera struggles going up against Boston more than any other team, and they have had his number on a couple of occasions in the past. This is probably because they've seen him more and in big game spots than any team, but still...

Isn't Cairo our emergency 3rd catcher?

No, that is not true at all. I'd like numbers to back up your assertion.
The fact is, we remember more when Mo blows saves against Boston then against any other team. Because they are our main rivals and our division rivals. But Rivera owns the Red Sox just like he does everybody else.

So, basically what you aresaying is that you have no way of proving what you said. I'll prove what I said... with FACTS. Not opinion, but facts.
These are his career ERAs:
Boston - 82 IP - 2.61 ERA
Baltimore - 86 IP - 3.23 ERA
Cleveland - 45 IP - 3.35 ERA
Angels - 45 IP - 3.94 ERA
But who cares about facts nowadays?

Everybody knows blown saves is a horrible statistic. It's not accurate at all. Mariano got a **** blown save for letting a sacrifice fly in that he inherited from Gordon in Game 5 of the 2004 ALCS. It's not an accurate statistic at all.
Mo, in his 10 year career, has 5 losses against Boston. 5 losses. In 74 appearances, he has saved 35 games, won 10 and lost 5.
This ripping on Mo is insane. Just insane. Some of you call yourself Yankee fans?
