that was a bull foul, him and raja ran into each other and Raja flailed more than Ray so they called it on him

Ray played like a role player for the first 46 minutes and did well in blowout time.

Honestly if his game isn't working for him through the first three quarters we might as well sit him and get him some rest untill the last 2 minutes of the game when he finally starts playing well.

Look at the stats in the first 10 minutes of the 4th quarter: 2 tunovers [one offensive foul] 2 fouls 0 points 0 assists 0 rebounds

3rd: 12 minutes 3 points( 1-2 fg) 1-1 free throw [technical] 1 rebound 1 assist

There was no need to play him 24 minutes in the second half if he's putting up that production.

His production was fine. His shot was off--but to his credit, he didn't force anything and he distributed the ball extremely well all game long. The last thing the Celtics need is one of the big 3 free lancing in the offense to put up good stats.

At any rate, the issue you should be having with the heavy minutes Ray got should have nothing to do with his play and everything to do with the fact that Doc didn't get him any rest in a game that was all but decided after 3 quarters.

why were kg/allen/pierce in the game after we were up 20 with nash/shaq on the bench with 4 minutes left?

Because we've blown two huge leads midway through the fourth in back to back games.

Honestly if Ray isn't playing well in the first three quarters lets just sit him down and put him back in wiht 2 minutes to go... that's the only time he'll actually play okay for the entire game.

Cassell>House people. Lets get some time to go by there are plenty of blowouts to come and Cassell will be our backup np

...basektball lesson for you:

Ray Allen's extended minutes kept Raja Bell occupied defensively for most of the night and Ray's defense prevented Bell from having much of an impact on the game offensively...

...Offensively, Allen had a productive and efficient night...KG/PP/RR were the focal points tonight because the matchups were favorable for them...RA did a fantastic job of moving around and keeping the Suns number one defender occupied while at the same time preventing him from impacting the game offensively-execellent and underrated performance by Allen..

...scoring isn't everything...can't imagine why Ray may by aggravated about his reduced role though..seeing as how fans have no idea on a nightly basis what he brings to the club unless he's hitting 4-5 threes...

Great win for the C's....."We" buried them!....And a frustrated Shaq sat out the final minutes after having his hands full with Big Baby..... that was almost as good as him fouling out!.... :D ....Life is good!

By the way: Ray only had 2 turnovers and 2 fouls.

I thought he played a very good game last night, and has been very good for this team period. I really hope it's not true that he's unhappy in his role, because it's essential for him to be on the floor, IMHO.

+1

Overall a very good game by Ray. It just wasn't a spectacular offensive game for him. I agree with much of what Bill said. There shouldn't be any hate for Ray.

STFU bill

I'm not bitching about Ray, I'm bitching about Ray doing little out there with no rest in the second half with us having a huge lead and Doc still keeping him in the entire second half.

Where he performed a role that could of been occupied somewhat by House at the time at least when we had such a huge lead and PHNX gave up [that was about 4 minutes left when Nash and Amare were off the court]

If Ray was lighting it up like Pierce was, and the game was within 14 points.. then maybe I can see why Doc didn't take him out because he wanted to ensure no comeback.

But there was no reason for having Ray in the game when he was playing a like a common roleplayer
