Michael Redd video on NBA.com

Post#1 » by ReddManBogieMan » Thu Mar 27, 2008 4:02 am

I don't know if anyone else saw this or has posted this, but I was watching videos of highlights of Bucks games on NBA.com, when I saw this related video on how Michael Redd has developed as a basketball player from a kid to now. I found it to be very insightful and I saw a side of Redd that I never had really seen before. It featured his parents and his coaches that helped in the game. It's about 9 minutes long. I know a lot of you hate him right now, but for those few that still support him it is worth checking out.

Here is a link, otherwise just search through the videos on NBA.com for "Who Made You:? Michael Redd"

I've never hated Redd as a person, in fact he's probably one of the classier people in the NBA. I just can't stand him as a player. Two completely different things.

No. It's about Redd's road to the NBA. It's about his love for basketball, which is a side I haven't seen a lot which is why it's a nice video.
I think he only mentions God once or twice.
Watch it and you'll know for yourself.

Yes, He had hops in high school. There is also a clip of him getting a lot of air in college on a dunk. It is easier if you watch it than having me explain the whole video. It might change your perception of him.

Nope, it won't. Did he come up limping after the dunks?

Sorry. No he did not. LOL. I thought maybe someone would have a serious response. But the only time people like you want to talk about the bucks players is to use them for your punchline for one of your regurgitated jokes you bless us with on a continual basis. Sorry some of us want to talk about real basketball issues, and not try and develop our stand up routine.

:D   :)

Nothing personal, but it just gets old after awhile.

I don't need to develop my stand up routine. I'm already better than 3% of stand up comedians. You should actually be thanking me for giving you a free show.

This is a great video...right up to the point where he becomes a ball hogging, no finishing, non clutch playing waste of a max salary slot.

Great Video. Makes you have a new found respect for how hard he worked to make it to where he is today.

we ALL know how hard Redd has worked to get to this point....we also know how much of a selfish player he is and his service is no longer needed here...

we all know he is a great guy but that doesn't change the fact that he is a cancer on the court....

As sad as this is going to sound, Michael Redd has had more individual and team success than any player on our roster. How can you possibly say he is a team "cancer" when not a single player on our entire roster has ever achieved anything in the NBA? That statement is a joke.

That's not true. It was two lines.

Or, in Michael Redd dialect, "It was one line, ohhhh!!! And one!!!!"

I got a way to defend it. Bring a bat to the game and kill one of them."

Bogut carried an ordinary Australian junior team to a world title. I guess that's something, I cant really come up with anything else a Buck has won for a team. What has Redd won as a team? Serious question.
