Kobe's the most overated defender in the NBA. I don't see where this particular Kobe is a elite defender. It seems like every wing or perimiter player blows right by him like he's stuck to the floor, then he reaches. The ref will call a foul and Kobe will say WHAT DID I DO
You reached and couldnt stay in front of him. Thats what you did
If a guy blows by you and you reach and grab his arm, thats a foul

Is it me, or is anyone else getting sick of Kobe's antics? Late in the 4th Q (before he got ejected) there were like 4 times he committed fouls (which were not called) while The Lakers were playing defense and then when he doesn't get a call on the offensive end he starts bitching. There was a foul I remember vividly where Charlotte was called for the foul (Richardson) where he got all ball, Kobe had this annoyed look as if noone is supposed to play defense against him.

Kobe's temper is a problem and that causes him to take bad shots a lot of times. He was so upset with the ref, then he comes down and jacks up a 35 footer. They were only down by 10
Get a quality shot, get the lead down to 8 points, and get back on defense. 4 minutes would have been plenty of time.
But he took that 35 footer and bricked and the Bobcats came down and scored. All because he was upset at the ref

wow a big night for the hornets
the last second win in cleveland, beating lebron's crew with clutchness from peja, tyson, cp3, and DX.
and then the lakers get upset at home big time and kobe gets ejected
one more test friday night at boston, then it gets a bit easier for the next week or so
but the games remaining are starting to dwindle. we're down to 12 and now one game up and two up in the loss column. the magic number for a playoff spot is 6, the division and conference is at 11. for the first time this season i think i can rest easier that we're gonna be in the playoffs

Does it matter, this year the top 3 teams could get beat in the first round.

Should be a good game, though
Ah, indeed...
Except for it being a good game, not really after the 1st half. Stand-out bounce-back win by Boston from two losses in a row.
Kendrick Perkins continues to show why he's not a "scrub", like some people in the pre-season were calling him. As expected, he's emerged well as an above-average helper big man on both ends of the court.
Excellent win by Charlotte - won 4 of last 5 against the Lakers... actually wasn't that suprised they won.
Awesome pass by Paul and shot by West - West just continues to be a clutch player and jumpshooter... he's had a whole bunch of clutch, final second shots since 05-06. Nice win on the road for NO
Philly keeps on playing good basketball and having moved up to the 6th spot, with a solid win... I think they'd give Orlando a competitive series and wouldn't rule out them winning.

Bynum will definitely make an impact. But Gasol against PFs defensively is probably not so favoring, though. Gasol's lateral quickness. But Bynum's going to help to an extent there.

you see what happens when a team "coasts"
cleveland fans accused their team of it.
when you turn "it" off, it becomes hard to turn "it" back on
thankfully, it appears we have no reason to turn it off. fight for the division and the #1 seed. plus don't look now but we're a half game behind detroit (with them holding the tiebreaker). on the off chance they upset boston, we might have home court over them if we get to the finals.

it depends on when its played.. usually, when the c's are on the verge of a blow out, they put GINO on the jumbotron. Gino is a 70's dancer who is funny as hell, and there is a huge boston craze right now with him. it started off when the fans would imitate Gino, and then the players caught wind of it, and now they do it too. But GINO only comes on when they are up big... as a matter of fact some players wont even get ice until gINO comes on (cough..KG) it is pretty funny when u see it live
