Hammers: bobcats Vs lakers
Gold: Swish. Mr "Score in many ways"!! Even though his 3 ball was a little off tonight, I loved the way he scored. He attacked the rim and finished well. He rebounded like a mad man and fueled our win.
Silver: Crash. Did a little of everything and did it well. Not a huge fan on him taking 3's, but they were going well tonight.
Bronze: Hammer. Hit some key shots, attacked well and played with hustle.

3 - J-Rich (dominated the whole game, he's so much better when he's got the inside and outside games going)
2- Felton (getting into the paint was killer, that caused a lot of problems for LA, as their accouncers kept mentioning)
1 - Hammer (he did exactly what we're giving him 4m per for and that's make shots. He made shots (cept those two technical FT's ironically).

3-Hammer (huge shots, he loves the lakers)
2-JRich (HE IS THE MAN! poor shooting night but still found a way to lead the team, and love the boards)
1-Ray (solid, took over the game when we needed him)
HM: Sam for finally making Nazr a backup , him and EO can not play together. Love starting Dud, but he is no PF. need to see more Super Jamario

Gold - Crash...job was to stop "the man"...mission accomplished. Solid stats in most every category.
Silver - Swish...doing what we brought him in for plus pushing Crash for best stat line. If it wasn't for Crash's D on Kobe he'd be Gold.
Bronze - Felton. Got into the paint early and often in the 1st half; racked up 7 dimes by the break. The momentum also swung back to us in the 4th when he came back into the game.
HM - Hammer & Duds...the former hitting some very opportune shots and the latter doing the little things; his presence in the starting lineup made a big difference IMO.

No surprises in my vote:
3- JSwish. Did you record the game? Check out the defense in the first quarter. A box out clinic. Plus he forced so many turnovers.... 3 straight laker possessions he turned over at one point.
2- Felton. Tough choice between him and Gerald, but tie goes to the PG in a victory.
1- Gerald. Returning to form.
HM- Hammer. Even when he was struggling earlier in the year I still liked him. I don't even think he has a bad contract.

And off a back-to-back! I wish I'd kept it now.
Floppy, from what I've read on your board it seems Swish has improved his game every off season. Do you see a difference in his man D now vs. previous seasons? I know his FTs have improved this season.
Swish blocking out means we have 3 players that understand the concept (Swish/Duds/Nazr)...2 of which actually do it.

In terms of skills and smarts he's always getting better. Of course the athleticism has declined, but that's no surprise.
Skills that I've noted improvement in this season:
1) finishing inside without having to go over top of defenders. He's really figuring out how to get it done in there without being an athletic freak anymore.
2) three point shooting. Getting better every year it seems.
3) free throws. This is the first season I've seen him look decent there.
4) boxing out. He used to never do this, now he does it most of the time - and also, he's good at it. His box outs actually work.
5) defense. I understand he is still a below average straight up man defender, and as a help defender he's fairly limited, though very willing. But his block rate and steal rate (on a per possession basis) are actually up this season despite not being as athletic as he was, so he is either trying harder or getting smarter, or both.
