"I like the referee a lot. He's a great referee," Warriors Coach Don Nelson said. "I don't know why he would call something like that, especially with a flopper. Usually they just ignore that stuff."

I can't roll with you on this one Sleepy.

Petey has been fragile, ridiculously so sometimes, but he's clearly been leaving it all out on the court lately, whatever else one may think of his game. He is not dogging it on the injury.

You have to listen to your body. I've had sprained ankles where I spent the next 30 hours in agony (had to drive a '67 dodge coronet with a clutch to the hospital like that because I had just moved to a new state and didn't know anyone), and then weeks in an ankle support - no basketball. Then I've had well over a dozen rolled ankles where I didn't even sub out (including yesterday). Same for hammy's. I had one stop me for weeks, and others that I've played through.

If he thinks he shouldn't play, he shouldn't play.

The problem is when Pietrus gets hurt, he always goes back to square one when he finally returns to play. Then, it takes him another month of sucking before he can really contribute again.

I can't roll with you on this one. It's a groin strain, not a ligament, tendon or cartilage injury. It's soft tissue and nothing is torn. In the circumstances this team is in, you play if you can walk. It's just pain.

Baseball players are notorious injury primmadonnas especially juco "studs." If I had a player sit out of games at this juncture for a pain issue, at this juncture in a campaign with no real risk to their physical well being or future? I'd cut them in the training room.

This isn't youth ball. You start playing through pain in high school.

Lastly, who on this team is 101% right now? Dre had his abdomen sliced open three weeks ago and Jack hasn't had a healthy foot in about 30 games.

The guy is a turdburglar.

In every possibly way, I regret him being on this roster this year. I'd have rather had Mbenga in his spot.

You're right about this part though. If he thinks he should't play, he shouldn't play because he'll play like crap protecing and babying it if he did play.

The problem is that he thinks he shouldn't play.

So are you saying you want him to play? What happened to oh french trainwreck going to mess up again. Why do you want Pietrus to play now? Because hes been really good? Lololololol you would be happy if this happened to Pietrus when he is sucking, but when hes actually good now, you want him to play? lolololololol.

I thank my lucky stars every game the Trainwreck sits out..Only problem is it means more minutes for Nice Story..If I could get them both to dog injuries? I'd be loving it.

As I said when he started playing well. He owed me 560 more minutes at that level to make up for his s :censored: effort for the first 2/3's of the season.

We need minutes. There's no one else on the roster to play.

Him shutting it down because of a boo boo just confirms everything that has been so obvious about him all season long.

If Pete had sat with a minor injury when he was sucking, it would have been better for the team long term because Barnes would have gotten run to fix his game (which hasn't been any worse than Pete when he was sandbagging) and Wright would have gotten off the bench more.

If this had happened to Pete when he was playing crappy, I'd have thrown him a retirement party.

At least the Lakers finally got what they deserved tonight. A first-class whooping at the hands of Jason Richardson and the Charlotte Bobcats.

It may very well be that Nellie's holding him out (or even the doctors). One thing about Pietrus, he's a gamer. The goes out and bangs (has been for going on two years) with power forwards and centers at only 6'6 (just see his nose if you don't believe me). Having said that, I'm personally very glad he is out, for two reasons: 1) it has given Wright minutes (he probably would be getting 0 if Petey were still starting) and 2) It's given Bukie a chance to get his game back. Although the Pink Panther (he wore his shirt the other day, see) is a slightly better rebounder than Bukie (not a lot better, Bukie is very good himself) Bukie's fundamentals are way better, he's less prone to mistakes and is more consistent as a shooter (Bukie's actually statistically better in just about every category) so I am glad that he's out. Let's hope that when he returns he is relegated back to the bench where he belongs.

Gamer?

Pete has missed a ton of summers and camps and early season work over the years. Gamer my ass.

I love that move when Petey hurts himself, calls timeout, and runs straight to the locker room with Abdenour chasing him...

C'mon, the dude's gotten his nose broken by DHoward and Milicic and still keeps coming back for more. He may be stupid but he's fearless (even when he puts his crotch on top of women's faces  ).

The last time I'm remembering this, he ran into the locker room and immediately puked. If that is at issue, then I'd much prefer he get himself out of camera range.

But Sleepy is right. He hasn't exactly shown himself to be a man of steel over the years.

He's a putz and we're no different without him.

Can you honestly say that the game against the Blazers would have been any different?

Over the years Peteleavy has baby'd himself many times.

LF, gotta disagree, I'd take nice story everyday over Train-puke.

Azu's been playing well and under control. He knows how to score and finish when it matters. He doesn't do stupid ess that makes you scratch your head.

You never know what Pete will take the court.

I think he showcased himself for the next paycheck and is quietly shutting down. (pray emoticon)
