Players who seem taller/shorter than they really are

Post#1 » by Joseph17 » Fri Mar 28, 2008 4:20 am

It's kind of a stupid thread but it's interesting. I'll start it off. When I first saw Sasha Vujacic play, I thought he was about 6'2. He's really 6'7. When I first saw Devin Harris play, I thought he was about 6'6. He's really 6'3.

McGrady is 6'10" according to Garnett when they measured him with Adidas. He is taller than what he is said to be (6'8").

Wade's long arms make him look a lot taller than 6'4. Same with Dwight.

Wade's actually 6'5, not 6'4, but he does have a wingspan of about 6'11.

earl boykins looks like he's 5 feet next to all those tall nba players
Sasha Vujacic = The Phail Machine = The Ring Blocker

Trade Sasha before he ruins the Lakers next season.

Kapono is a good one...he's a legit 6'8" in shoes, but I'd swear that he is 6'5" watching broadcasts.

Kris Humphries, for some reason, seems quite a bit shorter than 6'10".

I keep thinking that Kirk Hinrich is 6'1-2", when he's a shade under 6'4" in shoes.

Durant, possibly because of his playing style, doesn't look to be over 6'10".

I have my doubts that Emeka Okafor is 6'10". He seems more "Elton Brand" in size.

DX's pre-draft measurements had him as a solid 6'10" in shoes. I think it's the same optical illusion as Humphries...if your shoulders are wide enough, we start to look stumpy.

Brandon Roy was measured at the pre draft camp at 6'6"+. When you look at him on the floor though, he doesn't seem that tall. Maybe cause his arms aren't really long????

LeBron to me never looks his height...always looks shorter in my eyes

Edit: Oh, is it just me or does LeBron always look bigger in the white home jersey than the away jerseys?
