Alright.... *takes a bit sip of the Kool-Aid*... I realize that the Suns have been playing better ball than when we beat them on their homecourt. I also realize that they are coming off of two straight losses to the Pistons and Celtics so they will probably be hungry and looking to put a stop to that streak. That said, I think the Sixers get out and run against this team again and once again the Sixers win the ballgame hence...

My Prediction: 76ers by 5+

I'll be at the game (section 113, row 16 I believe) so I'm hoping for a win, but preparing for a blowout loss. I have a feeling the Sun's are still pissed about losing to us at their place, so they're gonna come out with a lot of fire.

Luckily, I believe I'm undefeated when I go to games, so hopefully we'll pull out one here.

I heard Doc Rivers talk about how his team beat the Suns last night. He said you need to get back on D to stop their break and against their zone defense you can't settle for jumper, you need to attack the zone and find the easy shot. I say the Sixers do both on Friday and out run the Suns and beat them by 9.

The line on this game is Suns by 2. I'd take that line if were a gambler.

For some reason, this has loss written all over it... then again, so did the Boston game.

With Thad in that lineup, the backcourt would matchup really well. Phoenix has the big advantage in the paint though. They'll be carrying a lot of anger from the Boston loss.

This is a tough game for the reasons everyone else has already mentioned. If they can win this, I will be very impressed.

Tough call but I say Sixers by 5.

Hey TGP:

Just a suggestion, but could you post a 'Key Reserves' section for your game posts the next time around?

I think the game will be decided by Green's performance and Sammy's defense against Amare. If we fulfill those two criterion, I think we will be in a pretty damn good shape. We like to bash Green (including myself) but undeniably, he is a valuable player if he manages to select wisely and hit his shots, respectively.

There are a couple of other games worth keeping an eye on tonight.

NYK @ TOR
WAS @ SAC

The Knicks are terrible so the Raptors should easily win that one. The Kings may have a below .500 record but they are a solid home team with a record of 22-12. Considering the way the Wizards lost to a Portland team without Roy and Aldridge and they barely beat a terrible Sonics team... I do think there's a decent chance the Kings win this one.

Of course, we have to handle our business and take out Shaq, Amare, and Nash tonight.

Dear Lord I hope our chances don't lie with Mr "8 for 48 over the last 3 games" for us to win this game. I think our chances lie more with Mo Cheeks pulling his worthless ass out of the lineup once he starts 0 for 3 from the field, and put in Lou or Carney and actually play the better players.

Still erks me that Willie is a starter on this team. He is the worst SG on our roster. He should not be starting.

By the way, I had a lot more interest in the Suns before the Marion/Shaq trade when there were rumors about Amare possibly being put on the trading block this summer.

After the trade went down, I was hoping (still am) that the Suns would fall flat on their face so that Kerr would try to blow the team up and rebuild with defense but that just ain't happenin'.

Oh well..... :-(

Haha thanks, I'm running out of ideas though. Not much to hope for, but I have faith in Willie.

NY Post has this as a pick game.

I'll take the Sixers.

I'm glad to see that Kenny Rogers... errr... sec-106 has chimed in with the daily line. I'm taking the Sixers as well.

Maybe it's me but I have this air of arrogance that we will win every game until the playoffs. Maybe I should sip the Kool Aid instead of sniffing it. But in all honesty I have us going 7-3 over the last 10 and I think this might be one of those losses. I hope I'm wrong. Don't mind being the John Bolaris of sports prognostication.

Amare was a great pipe dream. Would have been perfect next to Sam. I guess I've moved on to hoping we land another big name like Brand, but I'm expecting to be dissapointed.

More likely we shake loose so other big name PF we aren't even thinking about at some point next year befoer the deadline. That would be a reason to neter the season under the cap (or trade our capspace for a big fat expiruing like how Suns traded away Thomas to stay under the tax.

My guess is that we're going to draft our PF of the future and perhaps bring in someone like Charlie Villanueva or Tyrus Thomas to serve as the stopgap in the meantime. I don't see Okafor or Brand coming here. Maybe Josh Smith would but I'm starting to have my doubts about him based on what he gives up defensively to bigger PF's.
