Hmm I think with Marion in there you guys had no chance, however with Shaq you never know what will happen.

What the hell? Is this a serious question? Marion wanted out for a reason, and it's not just the money.

If he's willing to come back for less money and a reduced role than yes.
But I doubt he would want to come back much like JJ spurned the chance for a ring for more playing time.

He WAS a great Sun. That's a fact.

We need him, but not at 20 mil a year.

Not even at 17 mil a year.

We'd have to put up with his sulking, whining and alpha-maling.

Plus, I don't want to see another Room-store commercial.

Honestly, he was good when he was here.

Now, we just need to move forward.

If losing 80% of his games from the day of his trade has taught him to be grateful for what he has, and to accept a more appropriate role (and salary), then sure.

Odds of that happening? Slim.

I miss Shawn. But there's no way the Suns can spend $40M per year on the guy, since going over the lux tax would entail doing exactly that.

No don't get Marion back, just get a cheaper player who supplies the same defensive intensity. The offense is fine, so no need to go after someone as good as Marion. A versatile defender (someone who can defender just about ever position) is ideal.

Not every going to happen. It was obvious Marion wanted OUT of Phoenix, why the hell would he come back?
