Kobe is no lock for MVP

Post#1 » by Lost Angel » Fri Mar 28, 2008 3:33 pm

it seems as if more and more members of the media are falling for CP3.

although CP3 is playing great, I feel as if Kobe has paid his dues long enough.

I think whoever leads their team to the top of the West will get it.

Kobe mvp is his to lose

Post#7 » by Che » Fri Mar 28, 2008 6:42 pm

i dont believe the bull in the media saying paul will win 1) every time a mvp candidate loses a match the mvp candidate who won they give more respect for example wenesday wen paul won and kobe lost 2) if kobe does (doubful) gets another tech will not win mvp

basically its in kobe hands i think wat u all think

why dont you believe paul would win? Chandler was considered a bust throughout his career before he got to NO...David west would never be a 20/10 player without CP3...although i believe kobe should get it, i wouldnt be surprise if cp3 gets it...him and his team is playing tremendous basketball right now....but anywho

kobe getting his ring and winning finals mvp >>>> kobe getting mvp

Winning the title first is a must, kobe being an MVP is just icing on the cake

I don't even understand why KG is in the MVP discussion in the media -- the dude has been injured and is averaging 19 points and 9 rebounds.

Meanwhile... CP3 is averaging:

22/11/4/3 while shooting 49%FG - 37%3ptFG - 86% FT

Oh, and his A/TO ratio is better than 4.5 to 1.

I am a huge fan of Kobe's and he should have won the MVP 2 times already.. but he doesn't deserve it over CP3 if the Hornets finish ahead of us.

Lebron is also putting up better numbers than Kobe but his team's record isn't good enough to really win the award.

The MVP should be BEST PLAYER IN THE NBA but it isn't.

CP3 is averaging:

22 points
11 assists
4 rebounds
3 steals

49% FG
37% 3ptFG
86% FT

A/TO ratio: 4.5 to 1

He will win MVP over Kobe if they finish ahead of the Lakers, which is a strong possibility due to injuries. Kobe should already have 2 MVPs by now though...

I care about championship ! MVP doesn't guarantee you a title !
Let Paul get the MVP and an exit in the 1st round...for me it's pretty real.

To Gerald3Wallace:

Exactly how do we know that David West wouldn't be a 20 and 10 player without Chris Paul. Have you ever seen him play without Chris Paul. I hate when people say he made David West a 20 and 10 player. West has been doing that since he was a National Player of the year in college. He didnt get any minutes his first two years in the league so of course his numbers would be low. But there's no way you can say David West would never be a 20 and 10 player without Chris Paul.

for once this is not about championships.

Kobe should have won it when he averaged 35 points a game.

I'm sick of the media's point guard fetish over the past 5 years.

i guess April 11th will be the deciding game.

Kobe had a great season. But Paul had an incredible season. Honestly. Who ever thought that New Oreleans would be in 1st place?

Losing to the Likes of the Bobcats and probably Memphis tonight will not get u an MVP. Media really looks at that. In my hones opinion Kobe blew his MVP chances in this one week. Bash me all you want. Ive been a huge Kobe fan since day 1. The media hats him so much they look for the little things to give to the likes of rooks like CP3. Im sorry guys Kobe has better chance of winning a title then an MVP award. The Bobcats game changed everything.
