Drinking after/before Bucks vs. Magic game Friday

Post#1 » by GrandAdmiralDan » Fri Mar 28, 2008 2:05 am

There will once again be some post-game festivities after a weekend Bucks game.

No WSSP Post game show @ Fitzgiboons this time. No show at all, in fact. It is getting bumped for Badgers/Admirals.

There are only three (including this one) weekend night Bucks games left this season unfortunately.

I'm not even sure who is all going to be at this game.

I usually suggest VI Degrees either directly after the game or after the WSSP Post Game Show @ Fitzgibbons. However, on this particular night, they are doing the Projekt show that I assume most people wouldn't be interested in, so I was thinking we'd just do one of the other Water Street bars instead. But I'm open to wherever people want to go.

Question:

The Wisconsin vs. Davidson game starts at 6:10pm. The Bucks game starts at 7:30pm (although by the time they tip it will be closer to 7:40pm).

bigkurty and I plan on watching the first half of that game over at Duke's on Water St. (that location due to their $1 tappers from 4pm-9pm, you're more than welcome to join us). Then at half time we will take the free shuttle bus to the Bradley Center.

The plan is to watch the second half of the Wisconsin game at the BC, probably meaning we will not be in our seats at all during the 1st quarter of the Bucks game, but we'll be able to keep an eye on the Bucks game while watching the Wisconsin game, and then immediately get into our seats when the Wisconsin game is over to minimize how much of the Bucks game we aren't in our seats for.

I am planning on ducking into the seating area for the starting line-up intro since they are having Eddie Doucette do it instead of Eric Jensen, but as for the first quarter of the game itself, I can handle missing that. I am more concerned with the half-time ceremonies and the second half. As a bonus, we'll get to be in our seats for the 2nd quarter as well. Maybe even part of the 1st quarter if the Wisconsin game goes quickly or is a blowout.

Anyway, the question is:
Where is the best place in the BC to do something like this? I see other games like this on at some of the pseudo-bars in the concourses, so I know they'll have the game on SOMEWHERE in there, I just thought I'd seek a tip here rather than walking around the BC trying not to miss the start of the 2nd half of the Wisconsin game.

Obviously the suite level or the Courtside Club are the best places to watch, but I can't just walk into those areas with the tickets I have. I could probably get myself into the Courtside Club but I'd rather not have to ask any favors of anyone if we can watch the game in a normal area.

Anyway, who's in for any of this?

I'd suggest watching the Badger game in the Bacardi Bar which is right near Section 208...There is even a PUB stand with a TV steps away from Section 208...That's quick access for Eddie Doucette's intro line-up...

I appreciate the tip.

Thanks.

So all I have to say is Thank God this season is almost over. Seriously just thinking about going to Bucks games anymore has me wanting to
Image

I already committed to going to the game with GAD and I am looking forward to seeing the all time team and who shows up for that but actually watching the Bucks play anymore this year has lost all appeal for me lately it seems. I just wish the off season would get here so I could at least be hopeful again.

And on top of all that, all I really care about right now that is sports related is the Badgers and the upcoming Brewers season. I just hope the Badgers shock me for once and just blow Davidson out of the water rather than wait till 10 minutes to go in the second half to start pulling away.

So anyway I thought Gad would post the highlights but I haven't seen them or maybe I missed them. Here is what happened. We went to Dukes and it was packed for the Badger game. At half time we went to the BC and watched the second half of the badger game in the Bacardi Bar. That was depressing. We briefly left to watch the Bucks intros by Eddie D. eventually we went in and watched the game which of course sucked.

Half time was cool to see some of the all time Bucks greats. Of course the Bucks had technical difficulties during the whole deal. Seriously are they not the crappiest organization? Its unreal how they screw this up when most people there probably came just for that deal. The unveiling of Oscars jersey was a complete joke as it was done so haphazardly. I booed Redd Vociferously BTW when he was announced. Kohl didn't show his face during the half time deal for fear of being booed. What a wuss but probably a smart move.

Second half sucked too. How the hell are YI and Sessions not getting tons of minutes when we suck this bad is beyond me although I can see playing CV a lot to raise his value.

Now here is where it gets interesting. The game finally ends and we are leaving when GAD notices a lot of lights shining in an exterior window and wonders what that is all about. It turns out those lights are coming from the players parking lot. We go take a look and seriously 80% of the cars in the lot are started and waiting for exiting players and team personal. They were started by 10pm. There were 56 cars started I believe by GAD's count. So we decided to wait and see how long until players exit after such a pathetic showing. Surprisingly it took most of them at least a half hour to come out. Ivey was out in 15 minutes though. Here is what I noticed they were driving.

Redd a big caddy suv
Mo a H2 or some kind hummer
Yi a range rover sport I believe
Simmons some supper pimped out fricking totally awesome custom ride
CV a less pimped out ride but looked like the same as simmons

-BTW, does anyone know who that black guy is thats always dresses all pimped out in the courtside seats opposite the benches? Maybe Blake knows since he walks by his seats all the time. His car is in that lot and he was shooting the **** with CV for awhile. CV obviously didn't give a **** about the loss since he just was playing the part as a hip hop having a good time "I'm rich bitch" pimp out in the lot and ****. Seriously after seeing his body language out in that lot after the game, its obvious he doesnt care at all so I hope he is gone.

Um, LK had some kind of SUV
The Energee girls all walk out with Luggage in tow but don't get to park in the lot
Tony Brown had a town car
Gadz had his same old range rover he has had for years I believe
Someone had a Charger
Someone had an infiniti, maybe M series
Craig Cushon had a regular smaller SUV of some sort
Dwight Howard came out dressed like this super pimp
all the magic were in suits actually
Arroyo took a picture with CV and shot the **** with him for a few minutes

Anyway some of those cars were running for over 50 minutes by the time people got into them and drove away. Its kind of funny that Kohl acts like he cares about the environment politically and probably over 30 gallons of gas were burned in that parking lot by idling cars. They must have to make sure they come with a decent tank of gas. We eventually had to leave and GAD dropped his kareem bobble head and Kareems arm broke off. It was funny yet sad. Nothing was going on really and I was tired so I went home. I have no idea what happened to GAD from then on but he was talking about trying to meet out with someone since he wasn't ready to go home yet.

Shouldn't we all just stick with drinking BEFORE the Bucks' games. It's the only way to watch the selfish garbage and not suffer elevated blood-pressure.
