The Sixers don't want to play the Magic, the Magic have shooters, the Sixers weakness is defending the 3pt shot. It's not Dwight that hurts the Sixers it's Hedo, Rashard and sometimes Nelson.
They only way we would be able to stop the Magic is play Howard straight up and offer no double team, so we just focus on shutting down the shooters, and hope that Dwight doesn't beat us. I think that's the only stragety for success if we play the Magic.
And Also I don't think the Cavs or the Pistons would CRUSH the Sixers espcially the Cavs. I think the Sixers could beat the Cavs in 6 or maybe 7 games, and I really hope the Sixers can get the 5 seed so they can prove me right.

The Cavs are beatable. The Sixers do better if they have to deal with solely one marquee player. Moreover, Cleveland is a weak three-point shooting team and they don't have any inside presence. On the other hand, the Magic are a well-balanced team and are more likely to expose the Sixers weaknesses such a defending the three-pointer. Phila would have a harder time against Orlando.
Anyway, the Sixers should not rush things in the offseason. They will be even fine if they enter the season without any major acquisition since they could theoretically utilizise their cap space any time. And that might be tremendous if a franchise decides to overhaul their team. That scenario might play out in Clippers country and the Sixers might obtain Brand a bit cheaper. That said, Brand should be a top priority if the Sixers are really serious to make a step towards competing for the championship. It is still a long way to go though and they have to add other players to make it happen.

Actually CLE is more balanced overall with teh ability to play inside with Z, everywhere with LeBron, and outside with Wally,West,Boobie,Jones as all good 3 point shooters.
ORL relies on the 3 moreso, but since it's your weakness on defense it's a more fatal trait. I'd say it's more your weakness on offense then defense because it allows little drawbacks from playing zone against Philly 48 mpg.

exactly...
The Sixers 10-11 million in cap space includes the 8.4 million cap hold for Iguodala. If They sign brand with 10-11 million in cap space, they can still re-sign Iguodala with his bird rights.

Who needs to slow Dwight down to beat the Magic, Dwight is only going to get 23 ppg tops. Plus Dalembert matches up well with him in a long series. The 76ers would probably knock them off. But the Cavs, Pistons or Celtics would knock them off in 5 games.
You can make that case for detroit and boston but cleveland noway, if they were in a series with cleveland i see it going 7 games.
They call me Hussien Fatal its a two game table im robbin you **** cradle wit a knife in your navel....

Why do people comment on **** when they dont know what their talking about. 6ers would knock us off? Ask philly fans if they think they will beat us in a series. They simply dont match up well. Philly's biggest weakness is defending the 3 point shot and guess what we do? They would be FORCED to defend dwight 1 on 1 and that anit gonna happen.

Why would Brand drop 15 million, to get 10-11 million on the 76ers? What sort of sense does that make. Not to mention his newest hobby is being a hollywood producer...in hollywood.
I'd understand if this was like, the celtics or pistons here. But its the 76ers, and he's still young.
As for the 76ers, why would they offer a guy with a really serious injury a long-term contract?

Ouch..only eastern conference teams that I can imagine beating healthy Cavs in the series are the Celtics, the Pistons, the Magic and the Wizards.
The Cavs are currently 11th in 3-pointers made and 14th in 3ptsFG%...so we are average to above average, not weak three-point shooting team. On the other hand, the Sixers are dead last in both. Not any inside presence? And who the Sixers have down there? Or is rotation consisting of Big Z, Ben Wallace, Joe Smith and Varejao supposed to be scared of Samuel Dalembert and Reggie Evans?
Moreover, Cleveland is a weak three-point shooting team and they don't have any inside presence.

Can you predict the future? If no then your statement applies to you! I think Philly has a good chance to knock of the Magic and you don't know what would really happen any more then me so you need to check your attitude.
Dalembert can contain Dwight that means keeps him to 22 ppg. I never said the 76ers had a 100 percent chance to beat the Magic but they do have a chance. I'm a Magic fan my self and I'm just stating my opinion.

Good question, which I why I believe they will look elsewhere first. Okafor and Josh Smith both come to mind, yes they will most likely stay witht heir respective teams, but nothings a sure thing.
