 Thanks for the love CC ..

I guess you can say I have learned a lot since I first got here , and I can only credit what I learned to everybody that is on this board for everything .

I mean everybody , too many names .

You guys know who you are , but thanks again EE << My Bad CC  .

Also 8'sReverse .......

I saw that thing on the freeway around same time last year going on the 405 .

We were laughing our A55es off and then both of us happened to exit off of Mac Arthur in Irivne , he ended up going to a gas station in from of John Wayne airport .
So we pulled over to check it out .

The guy started to talk to us since my droptop had a sick system in it and he told me that he actually has a sick system in his winermobile too .... , so we went inside of it and he was right .

That thing has a mean A55 VOrtech 5700 Supercharged engine in it with all kinds of Mods to it . Engine , Trans , exhaust , it has G.P. with a Bumping system too Subs AMP racks ect .

The desinger is a guy name Brooks Stevens , he is known for buiding a few sick Hollywood cars ....

Oh ya pep this , it has a external audio system too thats loud .
It can play tunes of hip hop , classical etc as he's driving it around .

Bumping loud too.

I wish I could find my pics of me and my boys around it .

So funny ...........

 A super weiner!

The last time I saw that thing, in person, was a couple of years ago off of Aviation Blvd. and Rosecrans in Manhattan Beach... it was at some new hotel. They were mildly blasting music. Pretty funny stuff.

I have a car problem. My benz wont start. I drove it a couple of days ago and then I went to take it out today and it wont go. It has gas ;) and it starts then it just dies out..

Any suggestions ?

Phil it would be so much easier for you to grab the phone and call me while your standing next to your car .

I can diag it while your giving me info about it .
Like sitting in the car and telling me is you hear a hissing sound when you turn the car on , I can tell you what fuses is for what .... Where the general Module is at .....
So if you can hit me up and lets see what we can do , the 2.6 is very easy for me to diag over the phone .

Oh and Trixxx .......................

I have this very very nice Volvo 240 dl ....
very nice car it only has 75K miles on it and my pops bought it from a customer of ours that had it sitting in her garage for 7 years ....
All new belts , Timing belt and tensioner , water pump , tires , bushings , Battery , seal ....cam and crank .....
Im telling you if you want a car with no headaches or problem , cheap on gas and Insurance , then this is the car .
His trying to get 5K for it ....
I mean I know its not a pimp ride but if your in school and your trying to save money and not having to worry about getting stuck with car problems or car payments .
This is the car , its actually a little pimp .
Its white with tinted windows , I gave my pops a brand new Apline deck with Diamond audio speakers ....

Let me know if you want I can post pics .

Although its perks sound very nice, the car itself is a little too boxy for me.

Thanks for the offer though.

Although I am reconsidering getting a car altogether. If I do end up at Santa Barbara, I hear having a car would almost be a burden. Ive read many times (on different UCSB reviews) that a car isnt the best thing for someone who will stay in the dorms.

As of now, I think i'll just be getting my license just in case anything does change.

I'm having a tough past few weeks with family issues.

Basically, I think I've been disowned after taking sides with my cousin and aunt over my parents and sisters. Thing is, I wasn't really on their side as I just wanted all that crap of drama over with.

To make the long story short, my family is fugged up. They question my loyalty. I don't care if I ever see any of their asses again. And can't figure out why it's hurting me so much.

Sometimes, doing the right thing isn't always easy.

Sorry to hear that, SK. That blows. Blood runs thicker than water, which is why it hurts so much. Time will heal all that. The truth has longer legs than anyone's pride.

CC, thanks.

I'll be around more in a short while. Hope all of you are well.

Family problems suck. But don't they all eventually work out as long as we don't close the door? Whenever I have problems with somebody in my family, I imagine what would happen if they died. No matter what the issue or problem was, it'd be insignificant. It's easier to be the bigger person when I think of that context. Is that a sick way of thinking? Well, that's just what I find myself doing in these situations. It's true though, you never know when anybody is going to go. What's the saying, never let the sun set on an argument?

I like what EE said about truth having long legs. And what Tony said about time having big boobs.

OK Mang,

I heard the news.. not as bad as predicted. There was something about a EHA valve and some crude in the fuel line.
Cheers. — Mags

Sofa, don't burn bridges, just expect them to figure it out and have patience. Everything is more dramatic with family, but things will generally re-align.

also, do you have the same alias on Day of Defeat?

Absolutely gorgeous... Love that classic American muscle.

DB: I'm sorry to hear that. I know how serious family drama can get. Hope that everything works out for you bro.

So guys I need some advice. Not sure if this belongs in the media thread but I dunno if it does then feel free to move it.

I'm about to get a laptop, my parent's are buying it..:D

So hear are the two I'm considering getting:
http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/ or http://www.apple.com/macbookair/

Now I know nothing about laptops and I'll mostly be using it for school.
The biggest thing is the pro has a lot of space and a part of me would like to start making video''s or editing...just for fun though nothing serious.

But the sole reason for me wanting both laptop's is GarageBand. It's a music program that lets you make, edit music. Both the air and pro come with it.

So after coming up with all that, logic tells me to go with the macbook pro, but I really want the macbook air. I don't want to feel held back though if I do indeed get the air..because of the whole space issue. What if I wanted to create a song or video but my macbook air couldn't handle all the space needed for those things? The thing is too damn nice looking though.

i am an ex-recording engineer(i gave it up when i became a father), garage band is an excellent program...anyway as to the macbook...

the macbook air DOES NOT have a cd/dvd drive, and while it is a sign of the future that everything will be wireless, that time isnt yet, and especially for what you are going to need ie; burning cd's, what i would do is go for a fully loaded MACBOOK, not pro, and buy yourself a huge storage harddrive for your music, photos, etc...

the macbook PRO has some really cool goodies like a blue illuminated keyboard, the pcmcia slot and a better more gaming oriented videocard, wheras the MACBOOK has integrated intel graphics....

the performance is not significant for the price unless you need the pcmcia card slot or the better graphics for gaming....and better meaning faster framerates, my black macbook i am typing this on displays things beautifully....

a loaded macbook with applecare(worth it) will about $2200, a loaded air with the flash drive will be about $3200, same for macbook pro...

regardless of what you get, you are doing music, you NEED to max out your ram....apple charges way too much for theirs, you could ram for 40%
apples price aftermarket...and the odds are that they are the same ram...if you choose to go aftermarket, i can point you to a video that will show how to install it easily...

Thanks Kobeaki

But I'm leaning toward going with the macbook air. Main reason being that the music and video is just a hobby I'm looking to get into. I'm not plaining on making a career out of any this. I'll be mostly using the laptop for witting essays too. So now it's just the waiting game..I will bug my parents until I receive it :P
