I guess #4 is now out of the question, but we need to get back on track starting with the Nets to have a shot at #5.
We lost to Cleveland, but they look like a much more favorable match-up. I liked what Mo did mixing up defenders on Lebron (Dala, Green, Miller) without sending many double teams his way. I would think we would have an even shot of getting past them in a series- even giving Lebron 2 W's for when he is unstoppable.

Am I the only one who takes a look back? The Hawks won now 4 straight games and their schedule looks pretty favorable. We are going to face them 2x (arguably the biggest two games in the season) and if we cannot at least split these two games it might be getting pretty ugly. Don't count them off yet.
As far as the fifth seed is concerned, we have to finish ahead of the Raptors (unlikely, since they won the tie-breaker) and Wiz (Arenas will be coming back soon). I don't think our chances are good.

Given our schedule you guys would have to continue on your insane pace to beat us out....And we'd have to slip... Not really likely...
And you guys are better than us? Out of 8 games the Sixers have beaten the Raps 2 times in the past two seasons... 2-6.. Even if we've sucked lately at least beat us a few more damn times before you say that.... I'm looking forward to playing your new team next season, should be interesting....

We are better than you guys right now. You're really gonna count last season? Philly would beat the Raps in a 7 game series right now.

3-1 this season, we match-up quite well vs the Sixers, and if it wasn't for Bosh's injury most of March, we'd be locked into the 5th seed right now, probably fighting Bron's Cavs for homecourt first round.

That 3-1 is invalid since we didn't play you guys when we were on a streak. Those games had been played when we belonged to the top bottom-teams of the league. If we could somehow reschedule those games, I am sure the Sixers would take at least two games.
I think the Sixers would stand a chance against Toronto if they continue their recent play. Otherwise, Toronto would win a series with big certainty.

We have been a disappointment, but c'mon, not that many people thought we were contenders of any kind.. Especially since we were one of the worst teams in the league the year before last year.....There's always a few delusional fans who think their team is way better than it is... In reality, most of us expected to at least win a round this year, hopefully go to the second round and put up a fight... Now we just want to make the playoffs...

Didn't mean to paint the entire Raps board with a single brush. You hear some strong opinions out of there. Good luck, hopefully the Raps will take advantage of their favorable late schedule to build some momentum heading into the playoffs. Maybe we both shock the world and meet up later in the plaloffs.
I would say stranger things have happened- but I'm not sure anything that strange has happened in the NBA playoffs- but in the (L)East this year anything is possible.

Not if you land in the 7, 8 seed.

If we manage to win again next week against the Pistons I might start to buy into that.
It would be sweet revenge to beat the Pistons in the playoffs while we are on our way up and they start to show some age. Not sure its this year though.
The Pistons really crushed any hopes the Sixers were building something after 2001. Hopefully we can get some payback.

Only .5 games back of both teams now, and it was just yesterday that people have lost all hope at the #5 seed.
Jeez, people panic too quickly.
If the Sixers take care of business, we get the #5 seed, because I have no doubt the Raptors and Wizards will lose enough games for us to get it if we win 5 of the remaining games.
