I like the Suns in this match up personally.
Bynum has missed a ton of time, and at his age, with his little experience in the playoffs, I don't like him being reintroduced right before the playoffs, then having to go up against a motivated Shaq in the playoffs.
Kobe is great, but I think the Suns are still the better team.

Thing is, the West is so bloody tight I really believe anyone can beat anyone.
Yes the Lakers have Kobe --- but the whole Sun's dynamic has changed. With Shaq, they are a more complete team than previous years. The Suns wont get bossed on boards and low post scoring from the Laker frontcourt.
The Laker frontcourt is nowhere as strong or experienced as the Suns. This gives the Suns a huge upper hand. There is not one person who can guard Shaq, Amare and Nash. Gasol can be contained or forced to what defenses want. But Kobe can only be neutralized so much.
Just wait til the season ends, the Suns still have more experimentation to do. This includes feeding the ball down to Shaq some more as well.

Bloody ******* please...
Shaq and Amare together are more unstoppable than Odom, Gasol and Bynum. You literally have no answer for them on the defensive end...ah screw it...
You know what? We'll see who is going to get doubled/tripled the most frequently during the series...and its not going to Gasol, Odom or Bynum and even Bryant.

You're a fan of the Lakers so your opinion is biased. I'm a fan of the Suns so my opinion is biased. It might be your honest opinion but it's certainly biased.
After losing at home to the Bobcats and the Grizzlies, the Lakers need to worry less about the Suns and more about making the playoffs.
It's funny how someone brings up the Suns have nobody to guard Kobe. Well they have a first team all-NBA defender at shooting guard who got there for his on the ball defense. I know nobody can really stop Kobe, but the Suns are better prepared than most teams.
As a Suns fan I'd rather the Suns face the Lakers than the Hornets or Jazz.

Seriously, the Lakers are a lottery team that simply lucked into the third seed in the pathetic Western conference. I'm sure all those other playoff teams are just lining up to play them in the first round to "bitch-slap" them, as you say...

Because I got to love his talent, and the room he has to get better since LSU...
His work ethic has been there in the off-season, as documented from the team media.
And the 2 or 3 smaller issues he's had not relating to basketball aren't significant for me. I know they were iffy, but are not something that impacts my feelings on him. Especially the dunk contest comment, it was strange for sure, but it got overblown by a lot of people, and shouldn't of been talked about as long as it was.
Going to take a lot more for me to fade on Tyrus, as a whole. Especially relating to on the court, which has just been a matter of not getting a fair oppurtunity over time to play and develop.
I really love all the good he's shown, which has been many times. The displays of that feeds into my position that he has a legitimate chance to be a stand-out player in this league on both ends of the court.
I'd be surprised if the Bulls give up on him, and would see it as a mistake.

With Bynum not 100% healthy it will be Gasol vs Shaq at the center position. In a 7 game series,im not so sure Gasol wins this matchup. Shaq has always been a great playoff player and his energy will be at a all time high if he faces the Lakers in the playoffs.
Lamar vs Amare - Lamar will get his 16 points and 12 rebounds, but Amare is playing at a high level right now. Amare wins that matchup
This is where the Suns most likely win the series. Especially if they get homecourt advantage again.

Kobe will outplay Raja, woops did I say that too loud?
