Pierce also scores 10 more points (26 vs 16) on Thursdays compared to Mondays, but shoots them at a much lower clip (40% compared to 50%). So clearly he has a different approach to playing on TNT than on ESPN.

Doug Collins is clearly the more nurturing but indulgent father figure while Hubbie Brown is more stern. So subconciously Pierce is trying to score alot in front of Doug to impress him and get taken out for ice cream after the game, but in front of Hubbie he knows that a modest but efficient night is the way to not get a beating.

hilarious.

this is an absolutely moronic thread.
lies, damn lies, and statistics.

haters - pierce will eat your lunch

These reactionary threads look so dumb after a week or so when somebody steps up after getting bashed. I have seen KG, Pierce, Rondo, and Ray Allen get bashed at different times this season on this board and then the next few games it seems like they go off.

Pierce isn't clutch anymore? Did you see the Suns game on Wed when he took over in the 4th quarter. Against NO he did the same thing as well.

this wasn't a reactionary thread after a game or two. but your post clearly is. this thread was based on his performance down the stretch of close ball games this whole season. i agree pierce stepped up against phoenix and new orleans, but like another poster already pointed out, the game against phoenix was the first time pierce has shown that type of aggressiveness in the fourth quarter all season long. hopefully, he'll continue to bring us home at the end of close ball games.
