Are you kidding me? Buke starts @ C, logs 29 mostly post minutes, and we can't blame the coaching?

Amen! When I Nelson going super small I was like....oh jesus...can this guy just get out of the way and let our best five play their best five!?

So we start super small...and surprise...it's a layup drill for them and one and out for us for the first nine minutes. Thank GOD Harrington got into foul trouble.

Making a special post for this one....

Nellie admitted in an early season interview that he juggles the lineups to try to give the team an edge when he feels they need it.

That was (at the time) the 9 seed we were playing last night.

If he doesn't think our core 5 can go nuts up with the 9 seed then what are we really doing trying to win games in April anyway?

You said it perfect. Nellie needs to get out of his own way.

The only thing I'd add is that if Al is out there WITH Dre, rather than playing center next to Bukie against a 6'9" athletic Melo, 6'10" athletic Kmart and and 6"11 playing inspired for the last 2 weeks Camby he would not have struggled as he did. Al does not work at center against an athletic front line. Al at center works against slow bigs.

You don't bury a guy under a bad 3 on 1 matchup and then scapegoat him when you're brain fart idea craps out.

just have to say, nellie has finally lost me as a fan with his ever-changing starting lineup. i don't mind to go with his small ball in a pinch but his desire to constantly switch the SL has back-fired more often than not going up against the better teams.

sigh.

I would have liked Baron/Monta/Jackson/Wright (with 0 minutes)/Biedrens. Wright would have had the athleticism to matchup with KMart who had the best game he's had in 3-4 years. Biedrens actually outplayed Camby (more like the Biedrens of old) so I think that Wright would have been the perfect guy to match up with Martin but was not even tried.

We are now in stage 4 of the Nellie Head Coaching 6 Step Program...

Fans starting to realize the team needs a HC change.

#1 Team in turmoil hires Nellie

#2 Nellie turns team around with gimmicky moves and untraditional lineups - fans rejoice

#3 Nellie's teams turn stagnant and can't beat fundamentally sound teams

#5 is Nellie stepping down, usually midseason, after he realizes team has peaked.

#6 Team forces hand to try and stay decent enough to be in the middle of the pack, long enough to be desperate enough to try option #1 again

It's a vicious cycle... GSW got played last time, let's see if we can figure out that we need to get him out instead of letting him dictate it... again..

Dallas almost has it all out of their system. They are stuck in #6 right now until they make some deals and build around Josh Howard...
