(1) New Orleans Hornets vs (8) Denver Nuggets
If the Hornets get the first seed and the Nuggets hold off the Warriors for the 8th seed. Who wins in this 7 game series?

Nuggets.
But it would go at least 6. I like the Nuggets experience personally.
Paul = Iverson
Mo Pete < JR Smith
Peja << Carmelo
West = K-Mart
Chandler < Camby
The bench of the Hornets is better, but in an 8 man rotation it won't be a huge deal unless Bonzi has a huge series.
The Hornets are more cohesive, but the Nuggets have been here before, and I can't imagine they are all that stoked on not having gotten out of the first round through out Melo's entire career.
I will give it to the Nuggets in 6.

Paul is a better PG then Iverson, but Paul has no chance of guarding him on the other end of the floor. Same goes for Iverson the other way. That IMO will be a push. Paul can definitely out distribute AI, and should. But AI can take a playoff game over and it's proven, he took the Sixers to the finals by himself.
West is better then K-Mart there is no doubt, but in this match up I like K-Marts defense head to head against West as the determining factor it he match up in the playoffs.
If West can outplay K-Mart significantly then Denver stands no chance, but Martin has been playing considerably better these past 10 games or so, and it has shown in Denver's 8-2 schedule. If he stays hot I honestly believe he can have the same impact that West will have in the series.

Paul wouldn't guard Iverson, Pargo would (and he's done a decent job of it in the past). Hornets love running a backcourt of Pargo/Paul when they can get away with it on defense.
West does not = Martin.
I think it could be said that the Chandler/Camby match-up is a push. Camby a better shot blocker, but Chandler the better [offensive] rebounder and doesn't do things like bring the ball up or shoot 15-18 footers. These are things Camby good at, but not the things you really want your center doing (especially in the playoffs).
I think it'd go 7 games, no clue on who might win though until the rest of the season plays out.
Oh yeah, and how can we forget this?

I wouldn't have put up that highlight. Paul's shot gets swatted, even if it was goaltending.......

I'm sure the Hornets would be fine with Martin goaltending every time Paul blows past him.
go drink some more haterade.
That's not the point.
People put up youtube videos to say this player or that player is great. Or "Look what so and so can do!"
Check out this

Great pass, looks nice, but no finish. I wouldn't put this up saying look at how great this guys is. It's not a top play unless the whole thing is completed. Put something else up......

You realize you are the biggest hater between this whole Jazz/Hornets/Denver thing. You do nothing but jump between whichever team is doing better between the Hornets and the Nuggets and find whatever way you can to say they are better the the lowly Jazz.
Just be happy that one of your teams is finally having some success for this first time in a long long time and enjoy it.

I'm not going to bother nitpicking how glorious a YouTube highlight is.
That highlight was posted because it:
a.) about summed about Carter's night guarding Paul (that cross + CP3 finished a rebound short of a triple-double + sound Hornets win)
b.) the Nuggets broadcast was wowed enough by it that they picked it for their "drive of the game" something usually reserved for their own players
the fact that you're here nitpicking speaks to the value you have to add to this thread, which is, well, nothing.

Please, you don't have a clue. Haven't you realized that your lame attempts to antagonize me don't work?

I said I wouldn't have put it up. I didn't say you couldn't. It just would have been more "wow" if the ball would have went through the basket. Or at least not get swatted.
Also if you think that Pargo is now going to start who is going to be the backup PG? Unless Paul and Pargo are going to play the whole game. Personally I think Pargo is crucial to the Hornets success coming off the bench and providing offense when Paul gets a rest.
I actually didn't have much to add because Batronuj said pretty much everything I thought about the series.
I think AI and Paul is a wash. Paul will get more assists and work the Hornets offense to perfection but AI will provide offense and penetration.
Peterson barely even plays now, I think Carter does the little things for the Nuggets and stays out of Melo's/AI's way and provides something of a 3pt threat.
Peja will spread the floor for the Paul and Chandler but he will have his hands full trying to defend Melo. He will need to stay out of foul trouble, but Melo likes to post up so we will see.
I think West is a better player than KMart and I agree that it will be his defense on West that will impact the series. I haven't really seen anyone slow West down. West might be the best mid range stand still shooter I've seen this year. He can also take the ball to the basket. KMart usually does well defending post players like Duncan. Too bad West can kill you softly from the outside.
Chandler and Camby are like twins. Except Camby gets more blocks and doesn't have Paul getting him 2 alley oops a game......

I think its pretty safe to say that Paul will play 40+ mpg easily in the playoffs. They can throw Mike James out there to counter the 2 minutes of Chucky Atkins if they so choose.

I agree, I think Paul will play 40+ minutes.
You said this.

Do you know how many minutes Iverson played in the playoff's last year vs the Spurs?
Game 1 44:50
Game 2 44:30
Game 3 44:55
Game 4 45:10
Game 5 43:47
So if Paul stays in the game all the time. And AI stays in the game all the time. And you said Pargo is going to guard AI and not Paul. Is Pargo playign 44+ minutes a game also.......
