Did You Go To More Or Less Games This Season?

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Sun Mar 30, 2008 9:03 pm

Curious if I am the only one who went to less games this year (in my case A LOT less).
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

more.

I went to 28 last year. This year I'm at 27, plus I will make at least 4 of the last 5 home games. Possibly all 5.

Living in Boston, I always go to one or two Bucks games over Thanksgiving, two or three over Christmas and the two Celtics/Bucks games in Boston. Been the same the past three years.

More.

Buy one get one free season ticket package too good to pass up. I normally get to about 15. This year I'll get to about 25.

In high school, living in Racine, I probably got to about 10 per year. As an undergrad at Madison, probably about 5-6 per year. My first 3 years of Med School at Madison, about 3-4. This year, 1, and that's only because it was a bobblehead night and I got four ~ $40 tickets for 2 bucks each.

Next year, I'll be living in Milwaukee for intern year. My plan is to go to zero unless something BIG happens. Instead, I will use that budget to go to Brewers games who have finally recaptured me as a fan after professional baseball itself lost me with the strike.

Less - My final number will be about 15 games...in years past I missed only 3 to 4 home games a year. For the first time ever I have left games early that I have gone to and also in a few rare cases I looked at my tickets and just decided it was not worth going.

I remember in years past I would be so stoked to go to games. Would be circling my calender weeks in advance for games that I was going to...its sad what has happened.

I had planned to make it to around 5-8 games this season and I went to 1 (Lakers/Kareem).

Last season I went to around 6

We need you to post on the Brewers board.

I went to a grand total of 0 games this year and until Kohl either lets the people he hires do their jobs without meddling or sells the team it will continue to be 0 games as much as I hate that.

I generally go to 5 or 6. This year, none. I doubt that will change during the Sund era.

Less. Nothing worse than being down 20 in the 3rd and wishing you were someplace else. I felt like I just threw money out the window. We left half way threw the 4th and never went back the rest of the season. Bore me once shame on you. Bore me twice shame on me.

I went to more than 1/2 of our home games last year.

This year I went to 1 game. Only because a vendor from work took us.

No way I was going to renew my season tickets for this terrible team. I told them they have to earn me back. They haven't so far.

In years past I usually tried to make it to 8-10 on average.

This year, One, Lakers and Kareem on my Thanksgiving Break.

I usually go to all the games in NY and NJ, but this year there was only one game in NY and by the time they got to NJ, they were tanking (or whatever the excuse for this mess is). I wasn't about to pay money to see them.

So my average is 4 games a year, but this year only 1.

I gave it some thought about renewing my full season package and then I thought long and hard about 1/2 season. After all we had Simmons coming back after missing all of last season, Redd, Bogut and CV were all healthy after missing big chunks of last season, we had Desmond coming back, we had an exciting rookie in Yi and a coach who PROMISED that this team would play defense.

Luckily I didn't buy into it.

Do you think the next coach will also promise improved defense? It seems they all do.
