Mitch Richmond vs Glen Rice

Post#1 » by dub81 » Sun Mar 30, 2008 5:42 am

Who is the better player?

My opinion, Mitch is a better all around player. He can create his own shot a little bit better.

But Glen, that boy can light it up when he's on fire. Great back to the basket player to.

Who ya'll got?

I think I'd take Mitch. He's more fundamentally sound in all areas as you mentioned. Also, I think he played better defense. Rice had quite a bit of difficulty staying in front of people.

Rice was a better role player. Richmond was more of that Alpha player who couldn't carry a team, sort of like Ricky Davis.

I'd take Mitch in a heartbeat. Rice was a great scorer but Mitch played on both ends of the court and could create for other players as well.

Mitch could do a lot more than Rice.

Mitch easily. Rice is the better shooter, but that's it, and it's not by much, considering that Mitch was no slouch in that department.

I agree, no need to elaborate more.

Must be true, if it's a rumor you read on Hoopshype.

depends on my team needs.
If i need a 3pt specialist to spread the floor- Rice.
If i need the best all around player- Mitch.

People are exaggerating Mitch's defense which was that much better than Glen's. What they should have argued is that Mitch was much better as a passer and had a longer peak.

But yeah, I will take Mitch Richmond.

Mitch was better, but I was always a big Rice fan. I really want to say him, but I can't.

I love Mitch to death, grew up watching him. But I gotta tell you. When Rice was hot, he was more scarier than Mitch I believe.
