Knux-Future's Supa Happy Fun Time Rumors now with mor SendEm

Post#1 » by Mik317 » Sun Mar 30, 2008 7:06 pm

I'm not that other guy with all of the connections, but there have been several rumors and other stuff flyin around.

Please note that I have not come up with these and most likely they are wrong but I just wants som comments on them..........and I'm bored

Rumor Number one a.k.a SendEm"s happy dance.

It seems that Ed's " We'll let the Market set teh value" comment isn't as strong as it was a few weeks ago. Whether if it's Iggy play or teams gaining so cap space, Ed isn't liking the market value as much. so around draft time, expect Iggy to be shopped with some picks ( Utah or out pick) for a higher one. Maybe then we can get that CHIP winning number one guy or the pf of our Dreams ( not likely). Also whoever is picked, will set up the free agent push ( Gil or Bigguy)......Look out for guys like Griffin and Mayo.

Rumor Number Two a.k.a. SendEm's not as happy dance?

Look out but it seems as if Elton Brand will op out......and his early first choice is............US. Brand would sure up our frontline for a bit and would make us a fource for a few years.......However, I doubt He would be cheap.

I doubt the validity of these two rumors but they keep popping up all over the place, so hey why not right?

This is Knux-Future,............I'm done here.

What can Iguodala realistically bring us back in a trade?

I would trade any (individual) player on our team for Griffin, Rose or Beasley. Iggy, Thad. Anyone.

what?????????

Wow. You've just lost every ounce of credibility in my eyes, SendEm. Couldn't disagree more. Rose will be an absolute stud PG in the NBA. Stevie Franchise was an undersized scoring 2-guard, not a natural point. Rose is a prototypical NBA point guard, but big. He runs the offense smoothly and under control. He has court sense beyond his years. He is poised and calm with the rock. Always makes good decisions. Stevie Franchise? Pass on him? Wow.

Check back with me in a few years on this one. You will eat your words.

The only noticeable thing Rose and a younger Francis have in common are elite athleticsm.

What else do they have in common? I'm just not getting it.

Dudes...........Franchise went number one.....and if he wasn't traded for T-Mac and went to basketball hell (NY)....He'd be a pretty good player. Add to that fact Rose isn't a douche like Stevie and I could see him having the career Steve should have had.....which is not bad....

Francis was selected #2 in the 1999 draft. Elton Brand was #1...

Francis cried his way out of Vancouver and really was nothing but an overrated gunner after that...is he even in the league anymore??

Rose looks more like he's a true PG and seems to hit big shots when they need them. Don't see the Francis comparison at all...he and Marbury were trying to get into the Iverson class, when they should have just been concerned about winning (especially Marbury). Rose reminds me more of Kidd with more offense...he needs to develop his jumper further, but that goes for most 19 year old city point guards. If his head is on better than Iverson/Marbury/Francis at that age, he'll be fine.

Athleticism and size (of which Franchise doesn't even compare) are the ONLY thing Francis and Rose have in common. Their games aren't even remotely similar.

But Steve was a beast until he left Houston........

His problems came when he left and wasn't the man any more in Orlando and he couldn't adjust. With Yao he was finally playing like the PG he was drafted like. So I think Rose can have THAT career. The one Steve should've have.

Rather not trade Iguodala, a young player, for a high draft pick. Iguodala has SHOWN what he can do, while despite some of these guys being seen as safe picks, there is always the chance that they are busts. I certainly hope he is not traded but would like to see us try to move up somehow and maybe look for a Augustine in the 9-13 area.

Derrick Rose is Steve Francis with less scoring ability which leaves him with more willingness to pass, although he doesn't have any more passing ability/court vision than Franchise had. Derrick Rose contributions come from making buckets, getting steals, and draw/kicks, It cracks me up that every year when college players come out they are AUTOMATICALLY better than everyone that entered the NBA before them except for the elite. Derrick Rose is NOT the player that Stevie was for Maryland.

Sure Rose can play the PG position, but he's not an excellent PG prospect. He's an excellent guard prospect, but his passing ability is not there. Chris Paul and Daron Williams had that natural court vision and highly developed passing abilities. Rose's court vision is just good, and his passing ability is just good...

I'm ALWAYS ahead of the pack when I read a player's game. You all need to read a magazine article or hear an analyst make a comment before you jump on the bandwagon. Derrick Rose doesn't have the right sort of passing ability to be a franchise caliber PG. He might be a franchise caliber guard contributing by making baskets and passing off of his on penetration but he's NEVER going to pick a defense apart like the real PG's do, therefore he needs to be approached accordingly.
