Iverson of course. Has the most assists from the two spot, shooting well, scores a lot. Controls the offense for at least a quarter of the game. He's the prototypical of a combo guard. The real question is whether your team needs a combo guard and does that type of versatility translate to wins.

Either way Wade's a shadow of his former self, arenas will never be as good as he could have been.

Monta's probably the best newest version of the combo guard out there but he's got a couple years before he'll be on the level of Iverson today and in the past.

wade without hesitation.

i would take AI but hes just too small and can't gaurd a 2 even though hes playing it this year. Wade is the best on both ends of the floor.

Uhh, OK.

So, players such as Wade & Arenas who have proven more than Monta's currently done, are going to regress, given they're just entering their primes, and Monta will be the next AI?

Right.

Wade imo is a pure 2-guard at his size/length. If we include him we gotta include guys like Ginobili, Brandon Roy and T-Mac.

Iverson and Arenas are the two best combo guards offensively, but both do have issues on the defensive end...Stephon Marbury might be a better option than the other two if all 3 are healthy.

...Does Baron Davis count as a combo guard?

I agree. Iverson easily. He is a top 10-15 PLAYER right now in the league and a top 30 player ever. So yeah, AI without even thinking about it really.

So Wade is washed out and Arenas was never a good player but Monte Ellis is the next Iverson? Think my man , think.

So Arenas is better than Iverson because he had 1 better season out of 7-8? AI also missed 20 games and had to adjust being traded last year.

I see Wade as a plain ole' SG.

Baron's not a combo guard, although he can play the 2 when needed.
