How much money did Sasha Kaun make himself?

Post#1 » by Jonathan Watters » Mon Mar 31, 2008 1:41 am

I know, I know...don't overhype the tournament stars.

But still, there is a reason Kaun hasn't produced like a legit NBA prospect. He looks phenomenal defensively and it seems like his feel for the game has improved by leaps and bounds over the last year or so.

Whatever money he makes I think it will probably be in Europe. I for one am not impressed by a performance against a very untalented Davidson frontline.

^Defensively Davidson was one of the best teams I have seen in a long time. I still don't see Kaun as an NBA player, but if he could do something about his shot he might just have a shot.

Agreed. Kaun likely will not be drafted.

Kaun is going to have a 10 year career as a backup center in the NBA because he's huge, athletic and plays terrific defense. He just has no offensive game because of his terrible hands, and I'm not sure that's ever going to improve.

Couldn't have said it better myself, he will have a solid 10 year career as the 2nd Center on a playoff team.

They do and I think someone will definetly give him a shot and coming from a big school like Kansas will only improve his chances.

I am envision him as very hot prospect for the Russian league, couz there the structure of the league doesn't allow for the domestic league at least more than 6 foreigners. A 7 footer with his qualities can make much more money there than a journey man in NBA

He'll make more money because his name sounds like Shaka Kahn.

I think he'd be starting on a lot of teams. He will defiantly be drafted, i'd be surprised if he didn't

Starting? Are you serious? I don't think this kid starts in the D-League.

Seems like a taller, more athletic version of mark madsen. Mark madsen used to have a role on a team and if he can kaun can.

 I would love to see how a player can be drafted with defiance. Was Steve Francis defiantly drafted, then?

Even is he doesn't make an NBA roster, its guaranteed that he will make big-time money in Europe. Guys like him who are of Euro origin born and raised with big time atheticism, length and potential are in prime demand in Europe. I thin it will be the other way around, can an NBA team pry Sasha Kaun away from rich Euro teams with their restricted rookie league contract

Sasha has made himself no money. Second round picks are all the same and before the tourney I would have guessed last five or six picks of the draft, now I bet he goes middle of second round (this is an incredibly deep draft for average big men though)

I think he has improved his stock(thus the term "made himself some money"). The guy who put himself on the radar is Cole Aldrich, he has some serious potential, may take a couple of more years to develope but the kid is pretty active out there.
