So Who Gets The West Top Spot>?

Post#1 » by MonstaGame05 » Sun Mar 30, 2008 5:38 pm

Things are really tight and all but to me it comes down to Four Teams now
-Spurs
-Lakers
-Suns
-Hornets

Out of those teams who`s will get the 1 seed and benefit from it to come out of the west?

I think the Hornets have a pretty easy schedule despite playing most of their final games on the road.

But San Antonio will most likely win 57 games and take the top spot.

When healthy, I think it will be the Lakers.

I think it really doesnt matter , since the west is so close and everyteam can beat everyteam in their own home .
So as far as home court advantage it really doesnt matter in the west .

The team you're talking about will be lucky to even be the 8th seed.

Anyways, if Fin keeps shooting like he has been, the Spurs'll get it. Otherwise it'll probably go to the Hornets.

I'd say the Spurs, Finley seems to have gotten his stroke back, there defense is back to elite and they have two legit superstars and another all-star with a solid cast of veterans. They're hitting their stride at the right time and have the most wins in the West currently.

Hornets look like the team least likely to be upset. They seem to win all games against inferior opponents, so I'd say they have the best chance of finishing number1seed. Lakers look the most unstable of those 4 teams.

That is the dumbest thing ive heard today, everyone in the Western conference playoffs will be there for a reason because they EARNED it.

The difference between the #1 seed and #8 seed this season will be based on how many groupies they had on a particular road trip.

By just eyeballing it... I see the Hornets having the best chance to get the 1st seed and with that many votes for MVP for Chris Paul....

five easy games and five hard games left

easy: @ MIA, NY, @ MIN, @ SAC, LAC

hard: @ ORL, GS, UTA, @ LAL, @ DAL

win all five easy and three of the hard ones and that oughta be good enough to clinch #1 IMO

Huh? lol

If you don't think the Mavericks, with all their post-Kidd troubles and injuries to no-D playing pasty white guys, will be lucky to get the 8th seed, the only person your insult applies to is yourself.

If the lakers had not lost the vsCHA vsMEM games they would have easily run away with the first in the West.

I am calling a tie. Lakers will tie the season series against Spurs and Hornets and it all goes down to conference records.
