with the 7th pick in the NBA Draft who would you select?

I'd take Love, regardless if we have Yi in the fold or not. Love is a true PF, Yi is soft as tissue paper and isnt quick or skilled enough to play the 3. If it were up to me, I'd deal Yi and take Love.

Love will truly be a monster in the NBA.

I'll be upset if we take Augustin. It would be a reach and his game isn't that dissimilar to Mo's. I would be more then fine with Collison even though that would also be a reach.

As far as this list I'll take the foreign guy I have never seen play before.

In total agreement unless a guy like Mayo measures at 6'5 and somehow falls to 7. I also might be willing to take a flyer on Blake Griffin although I'm not as high on him as some of you here are. If neither is available, I'm on the phone with New Jersey.

It has us taking that Gallinari guy,

NBA Comparison: Detlef Schrempf
Strengths: Very good athlete. PG skills in a 6-8 forward body, can play all the back-court spots. Has great fundamentals for his age, drives well and know how to create his own shot or pass the ball. Offensively he can do almost everything at the best level possible for a 16 year old. Great 3p shot, has shooting range of more than 24 feet and likes to show it off. Even if Gallinari seems a streak shooter sometimes, he is definitely a true shooter who doesn't miss twice if left open and is able to shoot even from the dribble. His ball-handling is very strong for a man of his height. He can drive to the basket from left and right with a good first step and often tryes finishing with a dunk in traffic. Plays decently in the low post. Above average rebounder for the role. Good ball-hawk thanks to his quick hands. Reads the defense well so he's able to receive a lot of fouls and go to the FT line many times per game. Plays with intensity and heart. Natural born talent with intriguing upside: at 6-8 probably hasn't finished growing (has long legs not proportioned to the rest of body).

Weaknesses: Last year doctors stopped him from playing for 3 months due to a growth problem. Now he seems ok but has to improve physically and then add muscles to his body. Sometimes struggles with his shot selection and has the tendency to rely on his 3p jumper too much. Nothing special on defense, except for steals: often has difficulty defending shorter and quicker opponents. Must become quicker with his footwork and lateral mobility. Needs to improve his decision making and develop his promising passing skills. Must become more consistent: sometimes he forgets his PG mentality and forces situations.

Notes: His rights are owned by Armani Jeans Milano. But he will be on loan to Montegranaro for 2 years.... Overall top scorer at the 2004 European Championships for cadets (U16) in Greece, he took Italy to a good 6th place (best result for 10 years in a cadet competition) by oneself. Last year got some minutes in the tough 4th Italian division, this year will play much more against older and tougher players. Next year could go to play in Italy's 1st division and be acquired by a top level team.

I'm not crazy about him, but I would need to see him play before I could further judge.

I would consider taking Love at #7,
but we would have to deal CV or YJ,
Do you think Miami would do Mo/Yi if they had #2.

Then we could draft Rose at #2, Love at #7, and look like this...

(I'd be funny to have guys names of Rose, Love, and Redd wouldn't it?)

I think that is somewhat reasonable, don't you guys?

Anyway if we couldn't deal YJ/CV I would take Mayo.

Of the choices listed, I'd go with Love. Ideally we'd like to have an impact point guard, but I don't think we'll find any marked improvement beyond what we have in Mo and Sessions at pick 7. Until we find a big, solidly built and athletic point guard I won't be satisfied.

The Bucks still need someone who can play behind or sometimes beside Bogut. The best value from a strategic standpoint at pick 7 would probably be nabbing Thebeet or Hibbert.

IF, you get one of those two big guys you may have enough flexibility to package Redd and even Bogut in some deal that would land Derrick Rose.

I'm a fan of Westbrook. If we ended up with him I'd fine. Despite Love's physical limitations, I'd be intrigued to see him next to Bogut.

I voted for Westbrook but I'd probably more amped for a guy like Randolph or Gordon.

To me, there are 8 guys I'd be interested in if I were the Bucks. This pretty much guarantees us a shot at one of them unless disaster happens in the lottery. This is my list, but from the choices provided, I'd take Westbrook.

1. Rose
2. Beasley
3. Gordon
4. Griffin
5. Mayo
6. Randolph
7. Bayless
8. Westbrook

It's a hard question to answer because we do not know who is available.

Guys I do not want: Jordan, Gordon, Gallinari, Batum, Lopez

Guys I have some issues with but are growing on me: Love, Westbrook, Griffin

Guys I would be ecstatic to land: Mayo, Bayless

Guys I would trade down for and would be very happy with: Collison, Smith, Augustin

What are your thoughts on Randolph? He seems to be the forgotten man around here despite being called a top four pick by more than a few.

i really don't think love is going to enter the draft......if he is if he can play PF then I say draft him.
