Firefox and this board

Post#1 » by mesc » Mon Mar 31, 2008 11:11 am

Is anyone else have serious problems with the forum for the past couple of months? I feel like pages don't fully load, banners are breaking pages, and a lot of times the tables look broken. I've had to refresh a page 2-3 times on several occasions just to get them to load.

Is this a problem that several people are having or is it, perhaps, because I'm using Firefox? I just want to make sure that its not something that I alone am seeing.

I've used Firefox 2.0.0.8 right now and have been for a while. It's been absolutely perfect for me.

Are you running an older version of Firefox? Are you on a slow/unstable connection? That could make a huge difference.

I have only had problems with Firefox on high flash content websites like NBA.com but never with realgm. Have you downloaded the version?

I'm on .12, which is ~a week old I think. Its been happening on and off for a few months, like I said. I had just assumed that everyone was getting errors and it was due to bad/malignant banners. Not sure what to think now!

....of course, ever since I posted this, it hasn't happened all day.

FireFox is what I use and I don't want to use anything else. It's been very enjoyable to use and I don't see any of the ads.

The only problem I've been having is the post markers not turning white after I've read a thread, and I'm not even sure if thats a firefox thing.

Yeah, it does that to me too, very annoying.

But also now the "Congratulations You've won a free iPod" voice is coming through my adblock somehow. I have no idea how it's doing it, I see no ads anywhere.

Edit: Actually, I think it's my sister's account that still has firefox running at the moment that's making that congratulations thing come up. At least I hope it is.
