This should be our starting lineup:

PG: Miller
SG: Lou Williams
SF: Andre Iguodala
PF: Thaddeus Young
C: Samuel Dalembert

This line up gives us length, scoring and rebounding all in one. Agree?

That lineup just makes me wonder who gives us our pop and change of pace off the bench. Lou thrives in that role right now, and REALLy affects games night in and night out. I would be concerned that Willie wouldn't have that effect.

Ed came out and said this was our most effective line-up when he was on DNL last week.

Mo must think its effective since he uses it evry close game in the 4th. I hope he will go to it more.

Green and Evans have not been getting starters minutes over the last few months- and for good reason.

I wouldn't mind finishing games with that lineup depending on matchups, but imo the best starting lineup would be miller/andre/thad/evans/sammy. I'd rather start off a game with a clear advantage at 1-2 positions than be undersized at 1-2 positions.

I think the lineup is fine the way it is.

Willie hasn't been playing well, but Mo hasn't shown any hesitation with putting in Lou or Carney. Willie isn't costing us games, and Lou and Carney have been very effective coming off the bench.

I think some of you underestimate the presence of Reggie Evans. He's not a scorer, but his interior defense and rebounding is huge. Right now, Thad doesn't bring that ruggedness like Evans does.

I like Mo's rotation, and all of the guys are contributing in their roles. We don't need to have 5 guys play 40 min. We can go 8 or 9 deep and not have much dropoff.

If you're on a losing streak you can try a different lineup (like Toronto) but with the way the Sixers have played in the last month, I wouldn't touch a thing.

evans sets a good pace and attitude at the start of the game. id like to see him at PF start.

the reason you dont start lou is because he is also the backup pg. between giving a surge of energy, and taking millers spot when he goes out in makes sense not to start him.

i would prefer carney take greens starting spot, but only if he is assertive as willie green is. green isnt very effective all the time, but he does take it right at the other team which i think helps our attitude much the same way evans does

That is ok for fans to think that way ... but if coaches do they cause their players to play with a sense of nervousness. If they think they will be pulled if they make a mistake or two or miss a shot or two they get pulled out, then they do not play with confidence.

One of Maurice Cheeks' strengths is his ability to instill confidence in his players and he may push it to a fault at times but I think the payoff is huge in the long run. His players play hard for him and are basically over-achieving this season. His methods may be largely responsible for that.

So, I say ... let him be ... he is doing fine. He will know when and how to handle who plays and for how long.

I don't totally disagree with the above, but it is (in a few hours) April, and Green's recent play (his decisions against CLE on the break) can have a major impact on a game's end result.

I don't see Mo not starting him at this point.

But, if his play is brutal 4 minutes into the 1st, take him out.

Completely agree with that starting lineup. Lou needs to come off the bench for the bench scoring. Evans should start at PF most night due to size/rebounding disadvantage vs. opposing PF's. This give us our best defensive lineup IMO and leaves Lou, Carney, Green and Jason Smith on the bench for an offensive spark.

Don't mind seeing Thad move to PF and play some minutes there as matchups dictate, but I don't get this, what seems to be a majority feeling, that Thad should start at PF. That would kill us come playoff time. I'd rather Thad get some experience playing mostly SF this year.

It is amazing how Carney has really improved his on the court performance recently, and now people (myself included) have gone from trading him for an NBDL player to starting him. He and KK were somehwat duplicate pieces in that they both primarily shot the 3 (KK much better than Carney), but Carney has such an edge athletically and on defense. It's nice to see Carney start to hit some jumpers, and even his mid range game has been somewhat better. Still a lot of work to do, but I hope he makes me eat my words...it would be nice if he got to be a 40% 3pt FG shooter and get 15-20 productive minutes a night.
