Victory cigar: Boston vs. Miami

Post#1 » by tlee324 » Mon Mar 31, 2008 4:19 am

Leon Powe had 17 points and 13 rebounds and appears to me to be the favorite in a game where none of the starters made it to 30 minutes... actually none of the players made it to 30 minutes....

KG, PP and RR were productive in short minutes on the floor, and Cassell didn't look too bad either.

Powe, not just for the total numbers, but there was a point in the second quarter where the C's were playing too much on the perimeter and hadn't scored yet. It looked like Miami could at least sneak back into forcing our starters to get more minutes, then Powe started taking it inside again and that was that, allowing others to get some rest.

You know KG wanted to smoke Mark like a blount last night. Think of the pain that Mark Blount put KG through. We just had to watch him have easy rebounds sail over his head 10 times a game. KG had to play along side him.

I think he appreciattes Perk because he does hustle. he knows the kid isn't great but he gives the effort.

I think Gabe Pruitt should get his first victory cigar. Write-in vote.
