LeBron James better than Michael Jordan?
Averaging 30/8/7 this season, and single handedly led his team to the NBA finals last season. How exactly is Jordan a better/more valuable player?
James is taller, faster, and stronger than Michael. He's also a better rebounder. He's a great passer too and could very well be better than MJ in that department also. Scoring wise, I'd give Michael the edge but it is still very close as LeBron can still take over cames and carry a team on his back. MJ is better on defense as well, but James is no slouch and is very tough defensively also. Both are have great leadership ability and can run a team if needed.
If LeBron had a HoF counter-part like Scottie Pippen and great role players like Dennis Rodman and Steve Kerr...he could very well have the same success. Then everyone would be here talking about how LeBron is the greatest invention since sliced bread. But since his front office has put out a poor excuse of a supporting cast, he seems to be stuck in the mud so to speak.

Scoring isn't as close as you make it....
And neither is defense........
Edit: Michael has topped this season by LeBron easily, he did :
32.5/8.1/8 with 2.9 steals, DPOY defense, and percentages of
53.8%, 85% from the line, 27.6% from three.
LeBron isn't beating any of those lines, and his defense isn't close.
LeBron is getting their man, lets not crown his ass just yet.

He has rings on six fingers. Take Jordan away from all of those Bulls teams and they wouldn't have one championship. Now in my mind, if having a player means you win championships and not having that player means you don't, that player is pretty damn valuable. So if the Cavs don't win championships without LeBron and they don't win championships with LeBron--which they haven't done yet--it becomes pretty clear which player is more valuable.
Unless you think stats=value and championships don't. I'm gonna take a wild guess at which one of the two 99.999% of this forum would call more valuable.

Jordan's playoff average through 111 games (his first retirement)
34.7/6.7/6.6/2.3/1 on 50%
Now that's just nasty. Even as a single game. MJ averaged it in the playoffs over 9 seasons.

I wonder how long it'll take for the Jordan fans start hating on Lebron after Kobe is past his prime.

Dude you stole my avatar?

As far as the comparison not even close. Lebron got to the finals you are right, but shooting 36% and averaging 22 ppg? It's not like he is old or anything.
Also he shot 42% in the playoffs all last year. He shot 42% in Round 1 against the Wizards who were missing both Arenas and Butler and 42% in Round 2 against the Nets. Neither of those teams were good on defense.

He had a supporting cast that was far superior than the World and ended up with two bronze medals as well. So how do you figure he would dominate in the NBA if he couldn't in the olympics and world championships?

anyone who is saying Lebron is better than MJ is under the age of 17 since they were never able to see the real MJ and remember it. And values flashy dunks with 5 step walks, over defense and team play. The only time i was picking Lebron over prime MJ, was if I was playing at Rucker Park where Lebron can utilize the 7step drive instead of his usual 4-5 step drive.

yea, because Lebron sucks without his extra step.
