Yeah, I definitely continue to see Denver's respectable defense. Along with that top ten ranked defensive efficency.
You can't be a respectable/passable/somewhat above-average/adequate/etc. -
credible to any extent, defensive team, if you don't play defense relatively disciplined on a regular basis.
Denver's defensive situation (in the way of typical defense, not relying on forcing TOs as your main and constant defensive ability) continues to be inconsistent at best. They've absoluely shown they're capable of playing smart defense, with games at times in the season, against the Spurs in the playoffs.
But ultimately, that really doesn't mean anything collectively, when you play defense much less than you do. Also considering personnel-wise, there are certain issues.
For the pace factors, and as to why the effects of certain statistical areas are so high - it's relevant for the regular season, but that doesn't relate to winning-style and playoff basketball.
Denver's performance on the court just doesn't display a respectable defense. And, their defensive efficency rank isn't legitimate because of the former.

Stellar game for the Suns, awful loss by the Nuggets...

He's been unguardable for awhile, it's been amazing how that's emerged.

Oh yeah, in ways of course (finishing, scoring), but not overall. Which the former I would guess is what you're intending.
