1. They gave up way to much for an old guy like Kidd

2. While Kidd is obviously one of the best passing point guards in NBA history, he's a terrible scorer at this point in his career. I know most folks prefer a pass first PG, but not to this extreme. Teams still need their PG to be able to score points and Kidd not only shoots a terrible percentage, he struggles to score in double digits. A pass first PG is fine, but you don't want a pass only PG.

3. Devin Harris is a better defender than Kidd

They did give way too much. Here's the thing. I would rather have Devin than Kidd. Let alone give up draft picks as well for him. Granted Kidd is slightly better right now, but that wont last very long at all.

An old shell of his former self is not a good option for the Bucks. Now in regards to Dallas, I think they saw this as a way of keeping up with the Jones' in the West in an attempt to win it all. So far Kidd has not been the piece to put them over the top, but it appears quite the opposite.

That's not fair to owners who rely on playoff revenues to break even though, so I know it can't change.

I agree with what you say, but a team that plays 3 times a week just can't get a bye and doesn't play for 15 days...It would be a damage to me...

It is interesting to see that there is a lot of difference between the conferences despite West teams have a tougher schedule (52 games vs. West, 30 vs. East). If it was 41-41, the difference would have been even bigger.

i CAN JUST SEE THE REAL RESULT. dALLAS MISSES THE PLAY-OFFS AND ENDS UP WITH THE FIRST PICK IN THE LOTTERY.

hOPEFULLY cuban protected the first round pick he gave away. That would be terrible if he didn't.

In case anyone wanted an update -

Kidd's last 3 games

19.7 ppg
5.3 rpg
11 apg
3.3 spg
51% FG%
67% 3PFG%
88% FT%

Not sure at this stage if it's a renaissance or a false dawn, but reports of his demise may have been a little premature.

ETA - They are currently in the 7th seed, will be very interesting to see where they finish.

Well he has had to score more since Dirk went down the injury. They have also lost a couple of the last few games IIRC. But yeah, those are impressive numbers.

Its looking like you're going to have a team in the west win about 50 games and miss the playoffs.

Thats crazy.

50-32 not good enough for even an 8th seed.
