Is it possible Lebron ends his career without a ring?

i don't agree with this.
The Pistons and Celtics will be very good for the next 5 yrs. These are great TEAMS. Not one or two players............ TEAMS.

they will be contenders from now to 2011, but then, they will be 2 lottery teams, take an eye to other teams with great future, lebron will need good players around and stay in the east to win something, probably will, only need those 2 things.

Who knows, it takes a whole team effort to win a championship. He just needs to right players and coach around him. That goes for any great player in the league.

Anything is possible. Jail, injury, loss of intrest, playing overseas, drugs. I think he will win at least one and have no problem with any of the above, but anything is possible.

Lebron has as good a chance as does any superstar... presuming that he gets the necessary help. Ferry and Brown won't cut it.

None of your points here make any sense. Orlando is not that good? based on what? they are a 50 win team. His teammates have gotten better this year. Dwight has weaknesses like every player but he is only 22. but if Dwight gets a LOT better, then lebron will never win a championship ring ever. Orlando is a threat to cleveland now and arguably a better team and seem to get the best of the cavs. Orlando will only get better and as constructed the cavs will only get worse and the time they have the ability to sign anyone lebron will be a free agent.

It depends on who the Cavaliers match up against in the Finals. Had they been matched with the Dallas Mavericks last year, Lebron might have a championship ring right now, like Dwayne Wade. I'm not sure if the Cavaliers can beat Detriot this year, there isn't a real weakness in their starting five like last year with Chris Webber.

The odds are always against any individual player to not end their career with a ring. NBA history is replete with great players never getting a trophy, and it takes a lot of serendipity to get one (see: KG this year).

That being said, LeBron has some great things going for him:
1. Youth
2. Ability to opt out and join a contender
3. The requisite skills and all-around play to do it
4. Playing in the weak East

^^^

Some good points, i mean they made the finals last year and had they played anybody other than the spurs they could have at least put up somewhat of a fight.

Look at the 80's MJ Bulls they couldn't really make it out until the the strong teams like Boston, Detroit , philly got old. Right now honestly the current boston and detroit only have imo about another 2 year window of dominance. 5 years is a stretch.

Ages of Boston 3 in 5 years:

KG: 36

Ray Allen: 37

Paul Pierce: 35

Detroit 4:

Rip: 35
Sheed: 38
Billups: 36
Prince: 33

LeBron will be 28 at this time and in his prime. So unless a new rival emerges out of somewhere i think the coast should be somewhat clear for him.

Lebron doesnt go into panic mode until 30 and thats only if the team doesnt look promising at all but he will be finishing up his next contract and can go win on a contender. He wont finish his career without a ring. I think he is smarter then that. But it would be less stellar if he did it on a team other than Cleveland at the end of his career.
