Who would you build your franchise around in their respective primes?

^ lmao.

Yea gimme Bird. Bird could play any style (pre-injury), and was the greatest all around player of all time (imo).

Just look what he did in his 1st year with Boston...
If lee is worth #12 then Ron is EASILY worth #5. Sooo...how about:
Malik Rose/#5 for Ron Artest.

Shaq, easily, and that's coming from a fan of a team he just bashed. Prime Shaq was insanely awesome...

Shaq. It's not a good comparison though. I think any team would take Shaq over Bird. Just like I would probably take Howard over just about any forward right now with the exception of Lebron.

Shaq. I didn't pick Larry, because I don't think he'd do as well in this era. Guys are bigger, faster and quicker now and I don't think he would do a good job defensively on today's Forwards. And there are also a lot more defenders today that can match up better against him.

Shaq, and it's not even close. Bird was great back when guys could barely run/dunk. Go look at the Celtic games on Youtube. They were playing in slow motion in the 70/80's. ROtFLMFAO.

Shaq, but this is easily and either or and there is no correct answer. I wouldn't want to build around Bird, because then when he retired I might have to give him an executive position and I would allow him to destroy my championship caliber team like he did to the Pacers.

Plus I love Shaq, I'd let him **** my girlfriend.

I can see why someone would pick Shaq but Bird played in the same era (and at the same position) as guys like Erving, Worthy, and Dominique Wilkins. Not to mention young Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley.

All those guys could "run/dunk" better than almost anyone in the game today. Do yourself a favor next time you are "ROtFLMFAO"-ing on youtube and look up one of those dudes.

Shaquille O'neal. Prime Shaq could dominate like no other and there are few who I would pick over him if any.

I'd go with Bird ... or a player who could combine 'Nique's athleticism and 1-vs.-5 offensive ability with Magic's versatility, IQ, and PG skills.
