Melo4MVP I know 47 points in the 2nd half is not alot of points but when you have a 19pt lead. 47 points should definetly be enough to win the game. That means the other team would have to score 66 pts to tie, which is not impossible with the Suns and against Denver, but still its pathetic defense.
It sounds old from me, but the offense is not the problem. Yes Ai and Melo may go one on one a tad bit much sometimes but Denver is one of the best offensive teams in the league along with phx and GSW. the problem is the D and George Karl. I have been saying it for the longest his substitution patterns are one of the worse I have ever seen. There is numerous games he takes out Melo when hes on fire, he took Jr. forever last night and even tho Camby was getting abused I still want him in the game instead of Najera, because he has the ability to make some key stops. The D was horrific again. The zone sucks, The defensive discipline is horrible, It gets frustrating. I dont care if Den. makes it to the playoffs and gets out of the first round, get rid of Karl. Bring in Vangundy or smething. I dont see the O falling off that much with the firepower Den.has. But I'd sacrifice three to four points a game to imprve the D. They'd still be top 8 offense anyhow. Win today dammit.

CAMBY GOT ABUSED MORE THAN ANYONE, STFU
.

Nobody, I repeat NOBODY could get abused worse than kenyon did.
obviously amare cant be stopped, he just needs to be contained, but you need to put your team in the best situation to succeed, and karl did the opposite with the lineup he had on the floor and the lack of a timeout before it was too late. If you think otherwise, you have no right to be watching basketball in the first place
(btw if you wanna blame the offense, look no further than your butt buddy melo, he wasted possessions, stalled the motion in the offense, tossed up bricks, missed layups and blew more free throws than anyone in the game, including shaq)

I defend Karl more than most around here, but he is mostly to blame for this loss. You don't let a team come back from 19 points without calling a few timeouts.
You also don't let players continue to get abused, even if the guys on your bench aren't having a great night either. You have to try something to stop the bleeding.

JR Needs more minutes and Carter needs to be replaced by Atkins. And until Nene can take the majority of Najera's minutes, Hunter needs to be the one guarding 7 footers when Camby is on the bench.
Wonder what FireGeorgeKarl.com will have to say about this one.

Just one loss guys. Yesterday everyone was talking about moving up to the 4th seed, and now after lossing a game, on the road, to a very good team everyone thinks we suck again.
Yeah, we shouldn't have blown a big lead, but its a game I expected us to lose anyway. Its not like we just lost to the Grizz or something.
Win tonight, split the series with Phx, and move back into 8th place.

That's not JUST one game...to have a 22 point lead and a 19 point half time lead and the players not come to play the 2nd half...it's not just a ho-hum loss...I would have rather they not show up for the game at all and lose by 50...then so what...but to know you should win that game and lose when you play them again the next night... it's not acceptable. Don't give them a pass....they quit playing basketball and got selfish wanting to put up stats... and forgot why they were kicking the Suns. No they aren't the Grizzlies..and that's another point... this is a playoff team...how are you going to win a game on the road in the playoffs when you are up 19 points at halftime and lose. Don't excuse their lack of effort...their lack of courage...and especially their lack of basketball IQ. What happens if GS beats the Spurs tonight?? hmm? what happens if the Nuggets tank again tonight?? hmm?? They get up 22 tonight...and lose...?? could happen. Remember they aren't the Grizzlies...

How long have you been saying this? In case you didn't notice it yourself? 2-3 years? lol

cop-out.
It's not a cop-out, its a fact.
That's not JUST one game...
Sorry, I guess I didn't realize last nights game counted as two losses, my fault.
I would have rather they not show up for the game at all and lose by 50
I call bull. If they go out and lose by 50 last night, the same people would be on here gripping about how this team is Jekle and Hyde, and they only show up when they want to, and how bad they are on defense, and how Melo/AI cost them the game with their selfish play, etc.
Don't give them a pass....they quit playing basketball and got selfish wanting to put up stats... and forgot why they were kicking the Suns.
Whos giving them a pass? I'm not. I think it sucks that they lost a huge lead last night. I just think that some of you are taking one loss and blowing it way out of porportion. They have been playing great basketball for the past few months, and one disappointing loss doesn't change that.

It is a cop-out. After showing so much improvement the last couple games (and the last handful of games for Karl), again the Nuggets came at the half, or out of any half for that matter, with a half-assed effort and Karl literally blew rotations. Not to mention they gave up a 20 point halftime time lead again to lose AGAIN. It's a major problem and for this team to have any success, it needs to be addressed. To blow it off as "just another loss" is a cop-out for the team (players and coach).

Giving a pass? You were!
Blowing out of proportion? In case you didn't notice this "'Nuggets the contenders' tranforming to 'Nuggets the pretenders'" stuff has been happening for the past 2-3 years. This has not just happened this season only!!! This has been happening for 2-3 years!!!!!!! Drill it in your head...
Aren't you tired of these? Geeezzz
"It's just one loss"...
5-6 game winning streak... then a loss that makes you think this team doesn't wanna go to the playoffs, total dumb **** performance only displayed by a surefire top 3 lottery pick team.
"It's just a loss".
Can't you see the way they lose it? The loss is not the point. But the fashion in which they lost it is bothersome.

I don't disagree at all. I'm as disappointed as everyone else is. Karl did a horrible job with rotations and time outs, and the team did a horrible job on rotating on defense, rebounding, and with ball movement on offense.
However, how many times in the past few weeks have the Nuggets done the exact opposite (come back from a huge halftime or first quarter deficit to go on and win the game)? I just don't think one loss is a huge deal. No one expected them to win out, and last night was a game I think most of us thought we would lose any way.
Use last night as motivation for tonights game, as well as for the rest of the season. But don't let it take away from the great basketball this team has been playing for well over a month now.
