The last 3 or 4 games have been evident. They have been getting away from what has gotten them their recent success, which is running, moving the ball and getting easy looks.
But lately in the last 3 or 4 games they have been forcing way too much. Forcing shots, forcing passes, forcing drives. TAKE WHAT THE DEFENSE GIVES YOU. Stop trying to be Jordan and pull up from 20 feet out with a defender in your face. Or driving inside with 2 defenders waiting in the paint, or bombing a full court pass with 2 defenders trailing.
It has been annoying the hell out of me. They have to stop forcing things and get back to doing what they do best. Playing team ball and getting easy looks.

Youre overanalyzing it. The fact of the matter is, they have just been outplayed these past couple of games. Especially on the offensive end. The reason is because Willie Green is useless and Reggie Evans should not be starting. Mo waits until the end of the first and the beginning of the fourth to take these guys out and put in the young guys. He thinks that the young guys can dig us out of a hole or extend our lead in the 4th quarter but that doesnt work against the good teams. By the time he puts our offensive players in the game we're either behind by ten or tied when we should be leading.

Willie Green had 16 points (shooting 7-for-13) and 4 assists in 25 minutes tonight. He was the first guy off the bench to chest-bump with Lou Williams (the guy who was playing in his place in crunch-time) after
Lou scored those three straight baskets.
What possible problem could you have with his game tonight?
I mean, I know the guy has had some tough shooting nights lately, and it has become fashionable to rip Willie again...but tonight doesn't seem to be the best night to take him to the woodshed.
Right?

He was saying in general about the "past couple of games" not just this one. Green has had 1 good game in the last 5 and in those games we haven't looked as good as we have in the past. Sounds about right to me.

A lot of what this team is doing this year is learning. They learned in the Phoenix game that a gaudy win streak doesn't mean anything in the next game, that was the game where any complacency played a role. Learning to deal with success is as important as learning to deal with failure.
In the Cleveland game I hope they learned to value each posseession of the ball. Guys made a lot of silly plays early on doing things outside of their comfort zone, otherwise LeBron doesn't get a chance to win it at the end.
The NJ win is another in a series of great bounce back wins, something this team excels at.

Last nights game showed the importance of a 3pt shooter. The 3pt shot is not only exciting but it helps pull away from trading baskets. Last night both Carney And Lou made a few and it helped us put the game away.
I miss Korver, even Giricek whom we never gave a chance is making 3's for the Suns. Maybe Ed doesn't like 3pt shooters. Go figure.

Do you really think it's ego or something? I think it's just a matter of momentum getting the best of him. It's like running down a hill....it starts by helping you pick up speed but it ends up hurting you by throwing your balance off, and you fall on your head. I think momentum just got the best of them. They lost a couple....took a breath and regrouped. That's exactly what good, disciplined, well-coached teams do IMO.
The JB-S System....Zero Defects.
