I would expect someone would create a thread about Doc being a Coach of the Month.

Anyway, Congrats to Doc!!!

good for doc

(too many people embarrased for putting too much stock in a coach's ability to make a difference regardless of the caliber of players?)

He deserved it, with wins over San Antonio, Houston (broke winning streak), Dallas, Phoenix, New Orleans and Detroit.

It's Doc second Coach of the Month this season.

I sincerely hope that it's a prelude to Coach of the Year.

New Orleans beating Cleveland a few days ago by 1 in Cleveland, and now beating Orlando by 1 in Orlando, may throw a wrench in it.

But, if the Celtics close the season with 67 total wins (8 more games), tying for the 6th best record of all-time, then they would have to give it to Doc.

Best All-Time Single Season NBA Records

72-10 1996 Chicago Bulls (won Championship)
69-13 1997 Chicago Bulls (won Championship)
69-13 1972 Los Angeles Lakers (won Championship)
68-13 1967 Philadelphia 76ers (won Championship)
68-14 1973 Boston Celtics (Havlicek dislocated shoulder in Game 2 vs Knicks, losing 4-3)
67-15 1986 Boston Celtics (won Championship)
67-15 2007 Dallas Mavericks (First Round Playoff exit to Golden State)
67-15 2008 Boston Celtics (won Championship - wishful thinking)
