I think if he can consistently hit that 15-18 foot jumper it will really help his game, his handles definately seem better than last year which will help when defenders try to play right up on him and take away a jumper because he will blow by them and obviously he isnt one of the best finishers in the league. Like someone else said he will never be a cornerstone player but i think he could be a #3 option on a very good team on offense but defense is where he will make his mark IMO. He seems erratic on D as of now, he makes some nasty blocks but then other times seems like he loses focus and lets inferior players score on him quite easily, that will improve with experience though. I think that is his upside if he puts it all together, a player putting it all together doesnt always happen but i think even worstcase he will be a solid player. The talk about lack of effort is concerning but he is very young so hopefully he matures.
I dont watch the Bulls enough so ill ask you, is the main reason his FG% has dropped so much because he is trying to expand his offense or is it something else?
#3 option on a good team while playing great defense would be nice.
His FG% is so low because several times during the year he would start a game 0-2 and never be back in there. Other times he looks like he isn't as aggressive as he was at the end of last year. Management has really mishandled him this year, there are rumors that he doesn't hustle in practice or something, but looks like he's getting back in favor with the coaching staff.
I just hope when Gooden returns he doesn't go back to playing 7mpg.
