I'm far from a Willie Green fan, but Willie is the better defender and it isn't really close. Also, I don't really consider Smith a pure shooter. He is way too inconsistent. I can't think of any scenario I would be happy with him being on this team.

It depends how many Nuggets games you've seen in the past month or so. The Smith of the first 3/4 of the season is night and day from the Smith of the last quarter. It actually seems he's beginning to figure it out. And no, Green isn't a better defender than Smith. Green may be smarter, but he definitely isn't better.

In March (16 games), in 22 mpg, he averaged 15.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists. All that on 51% fg and 43% 3pt with a pps of 1.39. Only three times he shot less than 45%: 3-10, 2-7, 7-16.

Even though it would never happen, I wouldn't think twice before I traded Green for him.

Yeah....I don't value Green all that highly so I'd do that
The JB-S System....Zero Defects.

Johnny:

I'd rather have Green than JR Smith.

When a player is as young as Smith, has as much talent as Smith, and would already be on his third team (if we sign him), you better realize something is up with the kid...

He's young and immature? When a player is as young as Smith, and has as much talent as he does, when he could possibly fill one of your biggest needs, it'd be smart to take a chance on him especially if he were to only come at the cost of a player like Green.
