What would you do?

I have a ticket, only 1, for the April 2nd Pacers @ Celtics game in Boston. It was a gift from my father, but he only bought one ticket. Would you guys ever attend an away game by yourself? I've attended them before, but always with someone else.

You get free tickets to a Celtics game....which I am guessing are hard to come by given their popularity.

If you can go...you go. I am guessing that this game will be important for the Pacers.....and suspect that we will do much better then most will think.

Besides....this maybe the last time that you see JONeal in a Pacer uni

Go...just don't be a jerk...you'll be fine.

My mom did that to me way back in HS for a J.Melloncamp show. I almost didn't go, but in the end I went I did so because I knew the joy of the gift for her giving me something she knew I wanted meant more then any "self-consious" feelings that I might have had about "going alone". I met some really cool people next to me, & had a great time.
Your Father really wanted to give you something cool, & likely spent a good sum on something he thought would bring you joy. If you go, & he hears you enjoyed yourself, he will in return get a gift. As our parents get older, we look back on opportunities that could bring them joy, & I see this as your opportunity - & not a rough way to do it either!
Go, enjoy the game, buy him a hat/shirt/ program, & when you see/talk to him next, thank him. You'll be glad you did - Trust Me!!!

Thanks a lot for the help. I was leaning towards going because of the whole gift-receiving enjoyment and appreciating the gesture of my dad, and PacerGuy pushed me over. Good point.

It'd be different if the game was in Detroit, though.

I would definetly go. I wouldn't make an effort to be "that guy" who everyone hates and you should be fine like mentioned above. Have fun and root on the Pacers.

I think you should go and be a complete toolbag. See how the people treat you. Like the Kobe kid this year in my section. He got killed. People ranked on him all night and he just got more and more piseed. SO of course we just ranked on him harder.

So, instead of wanting people to be more respectful, you'd rather they be dillweeds just so you can "rank" on them harder? What does the word "rank" even mean?

Webster dictionary defines Rank, as to make fun of to an even greater extent then before.

MOST people on the BOS board just want to have fun. Some take it to serious. Too bad for them they are missing out. Point being don't ever be afraid to come to the BOS board and speak your mind.
