More Intense Player - Jordan or Garnett

Post#1 » by The Red Army » Wed Apr 2, 2008 10:43 pm

I haven't had the pleasure to watch Jordan in his Prime years, only caught him in his last couple years with the bulls and still at that age I was pretty young.

As for KG, I've been watching him ever since I can remember and he has always been intense in the way he plays and the way he shows it on the court.

So who do you all think is the more INTENSE player, NOT the better player as we all know that is.

Feel free to include any players in the today's NBA or players from the past who you watched and thought that they were extremely intense when they played.

GMAB....Kobe's desire and intensity to win outpaces KG even. Come on man.

No man can miss the playoffs 3 straight years and sit back without saying anything and demanding anything if he's that intense about winning.

Kobe ridiculed himself in the name of winning. Thats intensity about winning.

And thats a guy that MADE the playoffs too!

Just because we, the fans, don't know about it, doesn't mean that KG just sat back and accepted losing. He might of done the classy thing and kept all of his demands, etc. in house.

the thing is MJ always won, his intense wasn't just about tears and trash talking. He always won, MJ's competitiveness level is just sick.

i recently read that larry bird would tell ppl what he was doing before he did them. and he of course would do it, knowing full well the opposing player he was talking to would try everything in their power to stop him.

i don't know if thats intensity, but it sure require balls. during the physical 80s, yep, definitely requires balls.

Charles Oakley was intense.

As for Jordan or KG, different kinds of intensities IMO. KG is machine-like in his constant level of high-quality play. When KG is on the court, he's full-on, constant in his effort on both ends. If I remember Jordan's play correctly, his intensity was always there, sometimes suffering a poor shooting night, but when he was hot he would play in stretches where it didn't matter what the opposing team did, he would beat them. When Jordan was in his zone, it was special. I guess I'm saying Jordan's peak intensity would trump KG, but KG is special in his own way for always being a constant force.

Larry Bird is the greatest trash talker of all time. He actually got into peoples heads.

But he had a much more jovial approach to the game. KG is intense on the floor, and he really cares about what he is doing.

But Jordan did whatever he had to to win, calling out other players in the process as well as himself.

Calm down, the OP said feel free to mention players in today's NBA as well as players in the past. Kobe's intensity > KG's intensity.

But anyway, give me Jordan.

i just saw a game from the late 80's where Bird hit the last second game winnner and they called it back. he told the guy guarding him "same spot, same shot" or something like that and he hit it. that man was incredible

Also JDawg is quality comedy.

Finally, I don't know how any of us can even begin to answer this question. They both look pretty intense out there on the court and that's all we know. We're not in the locker room after. We're not there when they get home to see how it sticks with them (although with the way JDawg posts, he might really be in a little nighty waiting for Kobe).

easily Jordan. the things he said about his teammates in his career, I don't care if he was an ass, he was a winner and bought the intensity when it mattered the most.

And in before Cevap.
