I really don't see how re-seeding would work UNLESS Western teams replaced Eastern bottom-feeders OR conferences were scrapped entirely. Which would change the number of games played and bring about other scheduling conflicts as teams had to fly/drive all over the place. and if you're getting rid of conferences, what happens to divisions? Those would have to disappear, too.

Under my proposal, if the post-season started today:
West
New Orleans
San Antonio
Lakers
Utah
Phoenix
Houston
Dallas
Denver

East
Boston
Detroit
Orlando
Golden State
Cleveland
Washington
Toronto
Philadelphia

and Portland could play Philadelphia for the right to be in the playoffs.

Works?

but then it's better be 9th in the west than 8th, u know is better face cavs than NO anytime..
